New India A opening bats: Ayush Pandey and Aman Mokhade

Both in squad to play Sri Lanka A

 

Don't know much about either so had to look then up 

 

Mokhade topped VHT run scorers. Both had solid Ranji seasons . Looks like they can bowl a bit too. 

 

Any thoughts on them?

 

Jagadeesan in squad, he may open though I really hope not 

 

Meanwhile No room for R Smaran or Y Rathod or D Malewar, but good to see Shaik Rasheed in.

Mokhade was continuously piling on runs for Vidharbha in VHT this season 

Rathod should have been there,good red ball prospect

FC or ODI or T20?

 

If FC, then Yash Rathod should be there. VHT performance should not be the barometer. But then again, IPL is the barometer for test cricket, so nothing surprises me anymore.
