The thing is they genuinely seem to be in awe of Sooryavanshi. You have to see some of the discussions which Vaughan, Cook, David Lloyd, Butcher have on a show regularly. It doesn't see made up like the whole Kohli thing. There's genuine interest and curiosity.

It goes beyond cricket.  In other sports it has happened. But usually it is one on one like 16 year old Martina hingis vs Mary pierce (world no.1) , 18 year old Boris becker beating world no.1 ranked ivan lendl in wimbledon final. What Sooryavnshi does is unheard of. Smacking perfectly good balls from world's top ranked bowlers for sixes.
