It's not like India didn't suffer terrorist attacks when the BJP was in power - remember Akshardham, Mumbai '03, etc. Changes in the political scene won't be enough - a lot more has to change in order for these terrorist attacks to stop, namely - the passive, "hota hai, chalta hai" mentality of Indians, who will brush this off their shoulders and pretend like it never happened.

Terrorist do not stop blowing things up because BJP is in place.. they are forced nto to through tough laws they bring with them....... Moreover you can't expect POTA to wipe the terror off over night.. POTA strengthen's intelligence gathering arm and it shows its effect in due course.. AEven a cursory glance over the frequency of such events would say after dropping of POTA frequency of blast has gone up.. This is happenign every month now..... Bottomline is the law not the BJP or congress even congress with POTA will work ..

Translation, forget muslims or hindus angle, people will simply be disappearing left,right and center based on who has/doesnt have contacts with the police. Misuse of POTA is deadly for the society...remember, we don't have a strong centralized authority. Access to simply lock people away/brutal repression is surefire way of escalating the strife in India. First, we need to start with corruption. We can never eliminate it, but we need to bring it down to acceptable levels..meaning, no corrpution in cases of job-related or fundamental rights related issues.

Dude, there is only one way to solve terrorism. And that is what we call in Punjab, the "KPS Gill" way. And to have that, we need BJP, or political will, which congress lacks. You have to fight fire with fire. Sure, there will be some innocents getting caught in the bloodshed, but the terrorism will end. Corruption has nothing to do with it. Congress is pseudo secular, all-pleasing party, which hasn't done anything of note and hence pushing for nuclear deal to save its face before the next elections. I know Beant Singh was a congress guy, but he was a exception.
