Rajeev just posted a note to delete all "crap threads"...wonder if this Bollywood thread falls into that category as well :D Or, does Rajeev only decides which ones are crap when he is hot and puffy after reading some posts :angry_smile: I wonder why the willow_on_fire thread (http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?t=114951) gets locked, but not this one? If that is crap, then this thread is crap too. If some posters have "fav players" and they will keep singing OTT praises and pujas of those players, then by golly, others can call them out on the OTT celebrations. OTT is the key, and they will be called out when such OTT happens. Some feel a fineleg or willow, or dandaroy or whoever else go OTT on the negative posts. Well, guess what, OTT happens on the praise posts as well by some. OTT is OTT - no matter which side of positive or negative it is. And as long as people are not abusing each other and posting without cussing, it should be accepted as their demeanor, opinion and point of view. Why should this thread be closed or for the matter of fact moved ? How is Rajeev praising his 'fav' player in this thread ? If the slapgate, asif getting arrested in dubai saga etc. threads belonged in cricket section then this thread definitely belongs in this section. Problem with you is you want to convert all the positive seekers into pessimistic souls like you. We have an idol and we stand behind him, yeah that's right, whether he fails or succeeds. .....on second thoughts, forget it. Talking to you is banging your head on the wall.

So, yes - how much ever anyone fails, you want to sing the praises - you do it. I wont, and some others wont. We prefer to call things out realistically and factually. If some posters can post singing pujas, hymns and bhajans about players (I am not referring to Rajeev here, I'm talking abt some hardcore worshippers), then others will post counter things to it as well. As long as one group (praising group) does not START any abusive slugfest against the other group(realistic group) or vice-versa, both can and should be able to co-exist. I know your viewpoint of what is "realistic" opinion or not about cricket will vary, thats ok, different opinions on what is realistic - so be it. For me, my opinions of our players are more REALISTIC and not "up in the cloud"

Making fun of Tendulkar and his fans is part of countless threads. Why should the forum have another one of those? Why don't you and willow and fire make your "objective" views known in those existing threads? This thread is offering a news matter not previously posted here about Tendulkar. See the difference?

I did not see you praise him for our Perth test, but instead you picked on SRT for failing in 2nd Innings :cantstop: I have no problems in people criticizing SRT for failing BUT blindly hating the guy who was our backbone for more than a decade is absolutely rubbish. Heck, I will have a problem with anybody who picks on ANY Indian player blindly just to make that player look like a dud. You post in the intention of getting SRT fans riled up. You simply cannot deny this. No one is foolish enough to not to understand your 'baiting'.

This is a 'masala news matter'. I am not against masala news. Infact, I am for it :thumbs_up: Bring it on. I am NOT asking you to close this thread - I was merely saying that as a comparison. Both threads could have existed. This thread and willow_on_fire's thread. Both should be allowed. Willow_on_Fire's thread may have mocked SRT - but so what? Is that sacrilige to mock SRT (well some may say yes), but I dont think a neutral person will think it is "sacrilige". Thats fine, I just wanted to clarify that neither was offensive, nothing needs to be closed out in a rash or rush of blood.

I dont post to specifically rile someone. If I get pissed off about the way SRT screws up something, for a person of his stature - he should be seeing us through in more games than he is seeing us through to wins - then I will post to criticize the lack of him showing responsibility as the major batsman. As simple as that. I dont have time to waste riling up a blue_brigade or green_brigade.

I think Rajeev was in bad mood. But neverthless if willow_on_fire's thread is to be criticized, then Domaink's thread also needs to be criticized by Rajeev to be fair to both sides: (as i said OTT can happen both sides of the 'pooja room' - the bhajan singing side and the atheist side). Some get angry with the atheist threads only, and forget the bhajans dont add too much value either. As long as there are similar threads, we will try to merge posts into those. We'll try to do that going forward. But we will have our viewpoints and they will not necessarily agree with yours. If we think SRT screwed up, then we will say SRT SCREWED UP! If we think RD screwed up, then we will say RD SCREWED UP! as well.

SRT, VVS, SG, RD, AK etc) sucked in Test-1, and not just one inn, but two inn to have a crushing defeat. I wont mince words when I say SL pulverized us, whether folks like to hear we got pulverized or not. Thats reality that happened. No one put up a fight and showed SL their place. Argument over for now. I dont want to argue here in this thread unnecessarily as well. Sleep well.
