How far back was that? A decade? Five years? No, just a few months.

Dravid had NOT been performing for the last 2 years, yet he is in the team Can you tell me WHY Sachin should be dropped, even though he averages >50 in the last 2 years? SRT being who he is has offered all Indians a lot of joy in the past, but aging happens! 3 top batsmen struggling at the same time is something that India can ill afford. What makes it worse is that they dont face any heat for this at all. Why is there no accountability?!? Have a Badri/Raina/Kohli/Rohit whoever doesnt matter since the bar is really low here on standby, maybe as probables for the Aus series. Hold their feet to fire and let them hang on to their spot based on merit.

Bring a former retired great like a Lara/S.Waugh/Warne back and they will still perform. But the frequency of such performances will become far and few. you read carefully sachin got enough chances , his avg was 24 in 2006 still he got his chances if not for bangladesh series his avg in 2007 would be in lot lower than 55 and his 2008 avg is 45 and dropping let us see where he will end up, odi series is also coming it will prove if he done are not so dont show me his avg to state his point.

Aussies are a far more professional unit and ACB is far better than BCCI on all accounts. When the team is performing well, it can afford to carry some off-color players. But with 3 topguns failing at the same time, can India afford this luxury? Is asking for accountability once in a while too much?!? Regarding sanity of the fans, its a very subjective topic and each fan thinks he is right.
