Dear moderators, this thread is actually on cricket. So dont move it anywhere please. One day an organization hired 11 workers for a job. The job was to carry some bags of onions from one place to another. However, not all 11 were equally efficient and quite a few of them were lazy as well. But there was one very young worker who was very efficient, hard working, loyal and dedicated. When he saw that some other workers are either being lazy or are failing to do their share of the work, he got worried. Because he knew that the work had to be done in the end of the day. So he hurriedly finished his own share and started carrying the loads of others shares as well. By the end of the day, he had finished all the work. The HR manager saw that the work was done and was happy. It went on for days and the other workers started taking this guy for granted. They would take their own work lightly and expect this young worker to finish whatever was remaining of their share. The young worker, knowing fully well that there was no one else to do the work and if the work was not done his employers would lose to their competitor, would always make sure to finish everything. He worked hard, found out new ways of carrying the weights better and running better and his performance got better each day. But at the same time, his co-workers got lazier. One day his co-workers didn’t do anything at all. They just sat and smoked. The young worker carried all the bags to the destination. But it was very tiring for him. By the evening, he had finished all the bags but the last one. He carried that one too, but he collapsed at the threshold and could not make it. The HR manager sent his report to his seniors: “To day the work could not be completed because the young worker collapsed.” The young worker received a warning from his employers that day saying that he was choking in his work and is not doing what he is supposed to do. The young worker remained silent and resolved to do better. Days went by and the same story continued. The young worker did majority of the work, the other workers would contribute very less. One day he fell down on the way and got severely injured, but he carried on his work bleeding. He finished the job most of the days, but occasionally he failed and invariably his employers would bash him. One day the young worker faced the same consequence for the tenth time. The other workers didn’t work, he had to carry the entire load, he collapsed and was blamed for not finishing the job. The management did not take it kindly this time. They asked the HR manager for a career record. The management saw that his career record was excellent, but for those few misses. They hired an expert for analysis. The analysis came back and the findings were: 1. The worker usually works well in the morning, but he is very sluggish in the evening. 2. The worker also has a tendency to perspire a lot. That takes his energy off. 3. The worker does not work well under pressure i.e when the closing time is approaching, if there are too many bags to carry, he usually fails. 4. The worker fails when he is medically sick or comes back from a serious injury. 5. The management also drew parallels with the work force of their top most competitor. They pointed out that the best worker in their topmost competitor’s workforce failed less in the above mentioned situations. They forgot that in their competitors work force, other workers also carried the loads. Someone who observed the workers everyday pointed it out to the management that the worker indeed carried a huge number of bags everyday. So huge that no one was ever known to carry so many bags and that the other workers carry far too less number of bags. The management refused to listen saying that carrying a big number of bags may have been his personal achievement but from the management point of view, the work was not finished each time because this particular worker collapsed. No other worker actually ever collapsed. The management put the entire blame on the young worker and fired him. Sach…….. is the story. So dear ICFers, stop pointing finger at the worker. He has done an amazing job and continues to do it. Support him.:hatsoff:

I understand what you're saying but no player is above criticism. I've said that Sachin underperformed in this series, especially considering he got decent starts at times but didn't capitalize. In no way shape or form am I saying he should be dropped. I don't blame the loss in this series on Sachin but elsewhere. I've already created a thread about this but intrinsically our strategy was flawed. I still can't fathom how Kumble ever thought 4 bowlers was going to be enough considering Khan was going to be rusty at first because he's coming off a long layoff and this was his first test in a long time, Harbhajan had an awful record in Sri Lanka and did nothing in the first test and Kumble himself was off before the series. Really, it's not the loss or certain players underperforming, it's just that I can't stand failure in preperation prior to the test matches and a big part of that is selection. I'm not saying going with 5 bowlers would have won us the series but it sends the right message that the captain back the bowlers, is going to attack the batsmen, and expects our top and middle order to be the strength that it's supposed to be without that extra batsmen. And then when we constantly went with 4 bowlers we simply didn't use Sehwag and Tendulkar enough and it was clear that Ganguly couldn't even be relied upon as a part time bowler. You have to give yourself the best chance to win and Kumble didn't do that this series.

There were others as well ... or this is the story of 90s ? There were at least 4 others who did their best but I guess they didnt have the style even when they fell down or they werent looking awesome before they collapsed just 5 mins in to the shift. Im a big fan of SRT but some of the threads that say "he batted well ... al though didnt last for more than an over" or "wow he is so great, he got injured to prolong his test career " OMFG ... its one thing to be a fan of someone and support him but to praise him for getting out or getting injured is OTT. PS: watch the video in my signature .. its the best

SAchin ko yahan nahi tau kya Pakistani forum mey discuss karenge ? Its an Indian forum bhai ... itna tau hoga he ... and its not like someone blindly doing SRT bhajan ... the mans got a point ... and you are entitled to not buy it ... but this is not how one should go about it .... just my humble opinion ... didnt mean to lecture ... although it sounds like it ...
Vahaan bhi karte hain discuss, I think. Comparing with competitors best performer, a.k.a alu bin laden. :giggle: Khair, I am out of this thread. Aap karo bhakti sangeet.

Such a good story ruined in the end- Sachin would be ashamed of such pathetic attempts trying to justify his greateness in such nonsensical ways A great player doesn't need ass-lickers expounding crap to make him look great at a time when he himself honestly knows he is not the best anymore. You do him a disservice.

While suraj's post is not politically correct post, and may have cuss words, the point it conveys is still correct.
