I am VERY HAPPY that Indian soldiers don't have to deal with Fidayeen attacks that were order of the day Pre-2001. I am VERY HAPPY that people who fed those mofo militants with all the hate-filled bullsheet are now having to pay for it. That is KARMA and no one can escape it. Neither was the US able to escape (from Saddam and Bin Laden, THEIR BASTARDS!..lol), nor was the Pakistani leadership (from ISI backed militants and other extremist forces who decided to burn Pakistan after Mush supported Bush). Now if we can eliminate our own homegrown mother****ers.....

I said it looks like 9/11 proved to be beneficial for India, at least from the point of view of Kashmir. The search for Laden made Pakistan the centre of world's attention as THE hub of terrorism, and when Mushy did act, it all back fired by the way of rampant Mullahs and their sympathisers. ISI did a lot of things, apart from apparently stopping the rampant Russians. :winky: :winky: India is/was more concerned about that.

I am not too sure about that. their economy is also growing fast. Their currency against the Indian rupee is not that bad either. So whats wrong? The ground scenario in Pakistan? All we know of are from TV Channels who are extremely biased. Remember TV channels need their viewers and will pander to what sells most. What Pakistan requires is a complete PR exercise. But yes the Taliban has become poison for Pakistan and if they are not stopped soon it well spread to India. Pakistan may not be in my list of favorite countries but you have to realize that for India to progress faster we need a stable Pakistan. If half our time is spent dealing with her we are never going to progress at the rate which we can. Of course there is some truth to the world perception of Pakistan though, the rate at which the military comes to power is amazing.

As for the rest of the post i think it is YOU who is trying to underplay US's role. Are you going to deny that the US paid literally billions of dollars to the "mujaheddins" to shut the Soviets down? ...it was just another tactic to destabilize the communists. Its a vicious cycle where first Soviets first provided military aid to the Afghans(against the Brits) and ended up paying for their desperate attempt to keep the communism in the area. Similarly US and PAK are now paying for their involvement in the area and making the mujaheddins in to a major force. As for the Kashmir issue and the situation there i hope you are following the recent events in the area...there really shouldn't even be a need for me to say anything on that because the views all over the world(INCLUDING India) are very similar.

Sure, they have massive problems, more than most countries, but its not like the country un-inhabitable or a haven for terrorists. I can report at least couple of bombing in major cities every week.. just because ennui has set in and we fail to notice doesn;t mean things have improved..
