The last time this happened, was probably Cullinan against Warne. But the heart-breaking thing is, but for Mendis, Yuvraj would have made mincemeat of this attack. He's been in decent form and comprehensively decimated the opposition bowlers in the tour game. Its essentially Mendis vs Indian batsman right now. Unless we find a way to win that battle, there is no way we're gonna win the war. What man, you wasted 8 minutes of your life. You could have just said "Yuvi is *****ed"

He thought Yuseless will be our Test shining star, so slowly he is coming to grips with reality with these long posts :D YS will be good in ODIs and T20 only, and that too only when spin is not a factor!

point is mendis has unusal grip so it will TAKE time and then he will become mince for us

HE might have edged it to keeper.. When u don't read the ball ur survival lies in attack not defence.. While defending you are sitting duck.. Even Sehwag doesn;t read him properly but he picks the length and goes for his shot.........
Yes but he wasnt attacking either ... if he played a shot and got bowled like that, then thats a different story ... he was defending ... that was his defence

well for starters yuvi must have been thinking that the only way to counter mendis is by plunging ur feet forward..so he was blindly doing that..since he had no clue as to wat the ball was gonna do as in he was not reading the ball frm mendis hand as well as frm the pitch he jus thot that it was the traditional off spinner and was playing for the ball going away frm his body..but to yuvis horror it was the carrom ball..it doesn matter really..yuvi cannot play mendis period

Surely, that guy CANNOT be as unplayable as he seems. Something must be terribly wrong. I simply refuse to believe our players can struggle so MUCH for so LONG, against one bowler, that too a spinner. Today, we're hammerin 'im... I know!

hehe Sriram ur brain is running high on optimism that u are blinded by the truth..the MO is just not gud enuf to handle Mendis..its pretty blatant..even Dhoni is just milking him for singles..thats the best he can do..Viru, Gauti and SRT are the only one who can take the attack to him..without these 3 we are sitting ducks..

:haha: If I keep saying this for a couple of 100 times, its bound to come off at some point or the other. Then, I can always say 'See, I said that'.. :D
