Most people watching will not bother to check facts, and hence Obama had to be on defensive, and hence he kept correcting McCain. e.g. Tax Cuts : Palin said it and McCain did it again, saying that Obama plans to raise taxes for middle class, where as in actuality, Obama plans for tax cuts for 95% people. McCain distanced himself from Bush, and the crap of 8 years. Thats why Obama could not deliver the knockout punch. Also, I don't think McCain was clear or coherent or anything...just blabbering same things and taking potshots .. He is as old as dinosaurs.. You're talking only income taxes. He will increase payroll taxes on small and large corporates. That will trickle down. Moreover, when Obama says he is going to increase taxes for people making over 250K, that also includes small business-owners, even doctors and dentists. And guess who eventually foots the bill? The consumer. "I know what is wrong and I will fix it" But no word whatsoever on "how" The worst part was that he , may be due to his age, or something, put masala journalism type sentences in Obama's responses e.g. Obama says "I will invade Pakistan". I wonder why the moderator didn't interject at that point.

Please help yourself to any half-decent media post Town Hall meeting and check for yourself the score cards for the two. If John McCain's strength is supposedly town hall meeting I dare say it is all but over for the old man. As for Obama he clearly states his point. Upon asked pointedly by Brokaw to list his priorities in his Presidential stint Obama clearly said: 1) Energy 2)Health Services 3)Education. Dadaji McCain was busy yapping his Senate speech where "America could do everything at the same time". Yeah right! so why hasnt America tackled all the above already? (* Substitute a smirk here*). It is high time Americans, and American politician, became pragmatic and not merely full of hot air.

I can see what he is doing as most people here can and I am not making him out to be a messiah. I am very suspicious of his ability to handle war in IRAQ properly, and given the latest series of event in Afghanistan, of his plans of putting more troops in that region. But looking at what the alternative is, I would still prolly vote for him (If I was eligible..)...but since I am non-resident alien..all I can do is sit back and enjoy.

So long as you are not a blind supporter, which you clearly are not, I am perfectly happy to hear a different point of view. Much as I appreciate Conservatives like Stephen Brookes. As for Obama and his fiscal policy I have on record rebuked both candidates for the Golden Parachute bailout. As for liberal policies well he is a Liberal so thats to be expected, no??
