PaiN_KiLLeR
I think we should look to score another 130 runs in the first session tomorrow and declare at lunch, setting Aussies a target of 430 in 150 overs. Link to comment
sharma
i think we must declare such that aussies need to bat 5-10 overs before lunch/tea this way our bowlers basically get a free burst of 10 overs, then can come back fully fresh for the match proper. best possibility would be to bat till an hour before tea, setting a target of around 450-500 Link to comment
umpire
If Sehwag and Gambhir keep goin until lunch we may not have to declare at all. Australians will surrender. Link to comment
DomainK
We must not make the mistake that Australia made in the first test. We are not scoring slow like them, so we should be able to declare much before they did. They got 4 of our wickets in two sessions. We should have five to get 10 of theirs. Five sessions or say four and half would almost guarantee us 10 wickets. Link to comment

Remember his heroics at the Oval- captainsaab scored 12 off 96 deliveries on the back of a mammoth first innings lead of 320 and managed to draw a match that was rightfully ours? If Sehwag or Gambhir goes early, watch out for some more "legacy building". Link to comment
satishg
Whenever India reaches 475..that should be the target..ideally we should give our bowlers 120 overs to bundle the aussies out again.. Link to comment

Predator_05
Dravid has been scoring at a good pace lately. I don't think we'll be seeing any more stalling from him. Another 37 off 70 will do just fine. Link to comment
Sachinism
we should declare half way through the second session Link to comment
Ram
We should exactly for 50 overs, score how much ever we can and give the Aussies 40 overs to negotiate on day 4. Doesnt matter really, one way or the other, the match is in our bag. And Delhi is a fortress test for us. I want us to win big with a big margin, I mean REAL BIG.. Something like 275 runs. Dont want the Aussies to even come in the vicinity of the total. We should hammer them so hard and with so much force that it breaks their spirit and soul beyond repair. Even if we win this test match, I know that we will still only be 1-0 with 2 tests to do, but our performance should be so ruthless and so comprehensive that when the Aussies board their flight to Delhi, they should know they're in for another whipping. cowboysfan
we need to score 150-160 tommorrow.I think 45 overs would be plenty. Link to comment
vadodaravictor
500-550 target should be a good one. But we should give at least 5 sessions to our bowlers to bundle out Aussies. Link to comment

King Tendulkar
500 lead then declare! Link to comment
vadodaravictor
that would mean we have to score 200 in 30 overs tomorrow. My bad..I meant 4 sessions.. We should let Aussie bat after tea tomorrow. If Sehwag/Gambhir can quickly score some runs and if we promote likes of Dhoni, we can accelerate our scoring. Link to comment
SachDan
Notwithstanding Dhoni's boldness, I can't see him declaring before Tea. Link to comment
cowboysfan
Its still astounding that the attacking aussies batsmen are playing so defensive. If you ask me thats their problem-this is still a good batting pitch as evidenced by viru and gambhir. Link to comment
HouMac
Bat agressively(4 rpo) for half the day tommorrow, get a lead of close to 550 and declare. Dhoni's a positive captain so I don't fear a late declaration ala Dravid or Kumble. We need AT LEAST 4 sessions to bowl 'em out. This is still a very good pitch and Australia is a team with a lot of pride. We'll have to earn it. Link to comment
SachDan
I hope they promote Tendulkar to no3 for once. We really dont need Dravid's snail pace tomorrow. Why not Dhoni himself come at no.3? I remember when Sachin was the captain, him coming in as no.3 vs NZ in 1999 at Ahmedabad for a quick fire knock..could score only 12. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
What about setting target of 400 and dangling the carrot so they go for it and play shots so in turn we get more wickets. High risk strategy but probably would work. Howver, sensibly we will set target of 500. Link to comment
