cochise Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Beautiful, effortless double made by Laxman...with his usual grace. A treat to watch. I was one of those asking for him to make way for a fifth bowler even though I love to watch him bat as I think he is the most elegant of all batsmen...but I thought the fifth bowling option was more likely to give India a win at the Kotla. Well, I am glad that Harbhajan's toe injury removed that as an option. :D
Dinx - the Jinx Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 VVS Double Ton - Appreciation thread Who came up with that "Walking Wicket". Please remove that. He is a walking nightmare to the aussies
Predator_05 Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 If Ashley Giles and Geraint Jones can be given OBEs for one good performance vs Australia in their otherwise sh itty careers, what does VVS Laxman deserve for the mountain of runs he has scored against them ?

Sachinism Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Quality innings I loved that shot he played when he flicked Watson from off stump towards wide mid-on and Watson was screaming, he couldn't believe it and was about to pull his hair out

King Tendulkar Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 :two_thumbs_up:Who ever changed my thread title for once did a brilliant job
Predator_05 Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Of all the batsmen that have played 90+ tests, he must be one of those with the fewest hundreds. Just 13, counting yesterday. A player of his calibre should have had at least 20 by now. Unfortunately, he played all of his cricket in the same period as Rahul Dravid
