King Tendulkar
yes his time may well be up. Still he has been great for indian cricket with over 400 test wickets. The abuse he gets considering all he has achieved is sickening. He is dropped now, so lets give him some respect now Link to comment

King Tendulkar
Hang on! Let me gather my breath here - did someone just call Darty a great? What 400 test wickets does not make you great. You have such a short memory. So maybe not that great over last year or so. Do remeber so called proffessor, that he has been playing since 1998. And that during that period has won loads of matches for india and loads of wickets. In fact key member of team that got India to No 1 in test rankings, WC winner in odi and 20/20. Sad the disrespect/abuse he gets considering all the achievments he has dopne for his country. And some people call themselves indian cricket fans Link to comment
Sidhoni
Sad end to a good career.... :ciao: Link to comment

The Outsider
Well H Singh is certainly an India great Mankad, Gupte, Prasanna, Bedi, Chandra, Kumble were all better spinners than Darty - if he can't make the top 5 in the spin bowling department for India how can he be qualified as a great? But others would say 400 test wickets and numerous match winning cointributuions would get him in to top 5 and certainly make him indian great. And even if you feel he does not make top 5, you muct acknowledge he has been stellar servant for indian cricket, with a lot of success. Which at very least means he does not deserve the horrid name calling and abuse he gets from so called indian cricket fans like yourself. Link to comment

He gets abuse and name calling because of his backhanded tactics in trying to get to the Indian squad - read his recent interviews since he was chucked out for a sample. I don't have any issues in acknowledging that he was a very good spinner in his time and played his part in India winning many matches. Link to comment

So you acknowledge he was a good spinner and his role in indian success. Your 1st part is utter tosh though. As you are tring to justify abusing and name calling a great servant of indian cricket under the fake guise of you dont like his underhand tactics in getting back in to indian squad. The fact is proffessor your abuse and name calling of him started way back before he was dropped and in fact was when he was a stellar/secure member of team. If you has just argued he should not be in team fine. But the level of abuse you gave a very good indian player was a disgrace. Link to comment
Lord
Bhajji is defintely good n wont be surprised if he gets back.but he needs to improve his bowling now. Link to comment

And yeah, he got name calling because his presence in the squad was effecting the team's performance as proven by his replacements and he is getting abuse now because of his desperate interviews to get into the squad again, rather than walking on the field and taking wickets. The Outsider
Shastri still saying Bhajji should be in Oz And he will get lots of support from so called Indian fans even if his presence is detrimental to the side because he happens to be from their region or religion. Link to comment
Sachinism
I think Bhaji will be remembered for his final few seasons when we stopped being a wicket taking bowler. But the guy has achieved a lot and won us many games. It may be past him now. If he has the fire that he's credited for, he'll be back. But for now, no way. I can't believe the way Shahstri was championing his case. Giving all the usual nonsensical crap about his getting under the oppositions skin and how he has a good record in Aus (which is reality is quite poor) Link to comment
