In fact if there is too much moisture in the pitch, that is something that works against swing. Being a swing bowler myself I know that one of the worst things you can do to a ball in swinging conditions is get the ball wet (particularly the seam) because it immediately removes the swing factor. I think you're confusing movement off the pitch with swing ... movement off the pitch is seam and yes a bit of moisture beneath the surface can exaggerate seam movement. When you combine this with swing through the air, it may seam like the pitch is playing its part in the swing, but thats not the case. Link to comment
