Ram
Seems one of utter disdain and disrespect. They first did it against Hogg in Australia last year and they did it again, against Krejza now. And on both of the occasions, it’s the Aussie bowlers who have ended up looking smug. Our tactics of going after them from ball 1 of their spell seems baffling. Sehwag lofted the first ball from Krejza for 4, while the second one went even farther. Even Vijay came down the track once or twice. And in a so Un-Sachin like manner, Tendulkar was nearly caught and bowled, while attempting a slog sweep way across the line the next ball. All this, even before he had faced 10 balls. What do you think about India’s tactics against Aussie spinners? Is it right? Or is it not-so-right? Are we over-attacking them too much too early? Link to comment
DomainK
I think the tactics are alright. May be they are over doing it a bit, but nothing is wrong with the strategy itself. Link to comment
Dravid
tactics are perfect, but we are getting too over-confident.. Link to comment
Sachinism
Yeh India are overly confident, they are sending the message that the Aussie spinners don't bother them we always manage to take them for runs, but we also lose a few wickets in the process I'd prefer to score at a less brisk pace and not lose any wickets Link to comment

gs
Lost one too many wickets. Sehwag's just before lunch was a blunder. Link to comment
Dinx - the Jinx
Perfect strategy... Execution lacks perfection. As someone pointed ot, its a little overboard. Link to comment
fineleg
Strategy is ok, but if you want to execute it well, you got to do it like how Ganguly does it against spinners. Clean and no hesitations when he comes forward to hit them. We are overdoing it. You got to mix aggression with good shot selection for the right ball. Sehwag cut too close to his body. Laxman played a wrong shot to the wrong ball etc. Link to comment
King
On a pitch like this Indians are doing the right thing. They are not letting the spinners settle. Sure they may lose a wicket or two in the process but it looks like only Sehwag and Tendulkar took the attack to the spinner not the rest of them. As long as not all the 11 are trying to hit him out of the park it's just fine. There's fair bit for the spinners on this pitch by the looks of it and attacking spinners is the right option. India would have lost a wicket less if they didn't attack but would have score about 60-70 runs less too. Link to comment

Btw, out of curiousity, is the 138 runs that Krejza conceeded on day 1, among the list of highest ever number of runs ever given by a bowler on a single day? I cant seem to remember too many instances when a solitary bowler went for that many runs in a single day. Link to comment
bharat297
Strategy is good. See the 3 deliveries Krejza got wickets off were pretty good deliveries but because of our attacking batting ... they cost him 138 runs. We never let him get settle into a rhythm. I think only Sehwags shot was a bit lazy. Link to comment
