bunny Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 No way can the aussies be seen as better then the great windies sides. We were there main challenges and have out gunned them. Windies dominated all! Well that's not true either. They didn't dominate Pakistan.
bunny Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 bunny rabbit is a perfect example of the kind of fans/media I was referring to in another thread - here is some news for you......Harbhajan/Zaheer were injured in '03-'04. We won '01 despite Kumble being injured. Tendulkar/Ganguly/Harbhajan were injured for parts of the '04 series. Zaheer was again injured in the '07-'08 series. Why didn't you include all the above injury misses in your "balanced" comparison? Also' date=' in '03-'04 Warne was not missing because of any injury but was banned for cheating. Surely, you can't count cheats as missing from a squad in the same breath as some injuries.[/quote'] Can't anyone have his own view? Also, why the name calling? I have seen you giving Gambhir no chance against Lee (in very strong words) even before a series began. Is that a good and respectful fan? I have seen people criticizing Ganguly and Dravid for no good reason and celebrating Dhoni's achievement for no rhyme or reason. Now if I post something against Dhoni then will I again become a bad fan? This is just ridiculous. Anyway, to get to the point, there were certain subtleties in the post which ignored some things (like home & away series, availability of players etc) and I was pointing that out. No where did I say or mean that Aussies have done really better when playing against us.
Shehezaada Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 We have won 1 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 2 = 10 test matches We have lost 0 + 1 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 0 = 10 test matches dead even
King Tendulkar Posted October 5, 2010 Author Posted October 5, 2010 We continue our domiation of them:--D
Guest Gunner Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;opposition=2;spanmin1=1+Jan+1996;spanval1=span;team=6;template=results;type=team This is the 15 year record of Ind Vs Oz. :D
ravishingravi Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Okay I grant this as spur of the moment exhilaration.
ZodiaC Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 We've been butt****ed in 2004 and 2008, otherwise this would've been much worse. Aus side with all their 'greats' struggled to win against us, let alone the current team lead by :punter:
putrevus Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Some guys over here think same like cricinfo staff "what ever we do is not good enough", every time any visiting team wins or India lose abroad, they never consider Injuries on part of Indian Team, 2003/04 series down under Zak and Bhajji were both injured and still should have won if not fricking bukcnor. Earlier this year when India lost to SA without Laxman Dravid, and Saha playing as a batsman, All the media buried Indians with out giving any thoughts on injuries. But as soon India win every one comes up with how weak the other team is Blah Blah never giving credit to this greatest Indian Team of all time. So all critics can shut their all holes.
Shakthi Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 No other team dominated on Aus in tests like India in this decade i repeat no other team having weakest bowling attack still managed to pick 20 wickets many experts questioned our team ranking position time and time again we proved them wrong .
