fineleg Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 are you going to start whining about dhoni now? :asleep::asleep::asleep: No. however to say that MSD has done nothing wrong ever is a BS statement. He chose to prioritize ODIs and T20s over Test cricket, and he may have realized it now and rectified his mistake, but back then it was a mistake. He should have chosen to rest - thats correct, he needs rest. But he should have taken rest in useless ODI and T20. I dont need to re-start that, however, to say that he did nothing wrong is factually incorrect. Our elite playing 11 should really put the emphasis on Test cricket. Rest how much ever you want from ODIs and such games.

Oh fineleg, even I overestimated you, and thats saying something...

Oh fineleg, even I overestimated you, and thats saying something... No, I did not think he was meaning it "literally". But he was trying to glorify Dhoni. And I wanted him to temper the glorification.

fineleg Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 its not an excuse. u belong to the camp that over glorifies our cricketers, SRT included.
graphic23 Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 its not an excuse. u belong to the camp that over glorifies our cricketers' date=' SRT included.[/quote'] Dhoni deserved that rest whether you like it or not. Whether its tests or ODIs or T20s, he is a human being who was made captain of the shorter formats so its kind of "required" that he be there. He thought that he was on the circuit for more than a year in a row and he's a wicketkeeper who had to handle the additional mental strain of being the captain. Perhaps, he wanted it off. You don't decide when you want to take a break - it just happens. Stop complaining. Why didn't other players do it before him? Its in his job description - he has to squat 300+-25 times every ODI match and 120+- 10 times every T20 match and god knows how many times in a test match. So he needed the break more than anyone else. In the present scenario, Dhoni deserves to be praised - he has handled himself and the team extraordinarily well. You belong to the group which has to find a negative thing in everysingle thing that happens on the earth. Please stop.
flamy Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 its not an excuse. u belong to the camp that over glorifies our cricketers' date=' SRT included.[/quote'] ok... fine... it is ALWAYS that time of the month for you.

fineleg Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 I thought the posts getting moved - the predator syndrome stopped After all that we went through, again the syndrome is starting? What the hell? If you FOLKS DONT AGREE WITH THE POST, then ignore it, or post a response. As much as your or predator post has a right to stay, everyone has that. Again, and again, this one or whoever other Mod resorts to moving posts. There was nothing offensive or abusive in the posts that were moved.
