zubinpepsi Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 This guy should be fillin up the test spots seriously he is a run machine at the moment it would be silly to not pick him while he is in the form of his life i agree... hes been scoring and scoring big.. he shud b in the team pronto....
Guest HariSampath Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 i agree. why wait when someone is in SUCH form? who cares if he's 20! as long as he and the team feels he can 'overcome' a failure or two' date=' i say bring him in asap. They did that mistake with Badri, he scored in bunches a while back. now, badri seems to be out of form when he finally got his chance. shouldn't repeat that mistake. get this guy in now.[/quote'] dude....Badri has got 16 FC 100s, including several 200s, and what "out of form"....he just got a 100 yesterday
King Tendulkar Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 this pujara is scoring crazy amount of runs. run machine. when is our next A games? god knows he may be already ready for the big stage.
Guest HariSampath Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 so who should he replace in the Indian test 11 ?
Guest HariSampath Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 This guy should be fillin up the test spots seriously he is a run machine at the moment it would be silly to not pick him while he is in the form of his life Are you suggesting that he should replace Dravid immediately ? Remember, form is temporary, but class is permanant :giggle:
King Tendulkar Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 so who should he replace in the Indian test 11 ? well we also have badrinath who is serious run scorer, dont forget murali as well. I also greatly admire Raina who has extrodinary talent and one day will be a test great. Great time to be an indian fan:two_thumbs_up: Dravid is obviously under serious threat and dadas place is up for grabs. But Yuvraj seem to have this spot for now. What talent we have
Lord Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 he should be in odis but not in tests, dude. for tests, u need experience.unless hes a real talent(i havent seen him yet)he should wait.u cant go by stats alone
King Tendulkar Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 We need an A tour and let these bats duke it out for top dog status. The A tour proved the worth of gambhir and dhoni, who piled on the runs for A teams and so forced themselves in to inidan teams. When is next A tour?
Lord Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 well we also have badrinath who is serious run scorer' date=' dont forget murali as well. What talent we have raina is only a minnow basher imo.his leg side play is not upto scratch.he can get away with it in odis but tests,he will be found out in a day.but he has age on his side,so if he works on it it'll be good.
Sachinism Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Are you suggesting that he should replace Dravid immediately ? Remember, form is temporary, but class is permanant :giggle: yeh i know, but while he is temporarily in form lets get him in the side. Ganguly's replacement
Guest HariSampath Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Even for tests, he is a long way...he has just scored 2 big FC 100s, a 300 and a 180. The 300 was against Orissa, hardly anything meaningful and this 180 was against a better attack, Punjab. You just cant line up U-22 scores for test spots. Pujara will get his next break into an India A team, and if he scores big and consistent against other International A teams, he will be given a chance. Remember, Murali Vijay too scored nearly 1200 runs past 2 seasons, and got into India A, and was top scorer against NZ A team...thats how he got into Indian test 11 , and has already done very well on debut. If anything , he has to play next test series.

RAINA IS 21! I repeat 21 YEARS OLD!!!!! Look at what he has done already at this age, some amazing odi knocks, full of amazing shots and brilliance. HE IS 21. HE WILL IMPROVE SO MUCH! Of course he will work on weaknesses. Already he has improved significantly for example used to get out to short ball trying to take it on. Now he ducks underneath them. Same weakness gambhir had who also now opts out of pull shot. Raina is an amazing talent. Already averaged 45 in FC cricket. And has 2 odi tons for India, what brillinace at the age of 21
Guest HariSampath Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Ganguly.. yuvi can wait a bit. :D Yuvi has already selected himself into the test 11, he will get 2 more ODI 100s and will be a permanent fixture in the test middle order...the only remote possibility Pujara has is Dravid's place, and there are already proven and tested players like Badri, Rohit etc lined up far ahead of Pujara
King Tendulkar Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 What has Rohit Sharma done? IMO he should be behind raina, murali, badrinath and pujara. He needs to score big in domestic cricket like these fellas
Guest HariSampath Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 yeh i know' date=' but while he is temporarily in form lets get him in the side. Ganguly's replacement[/quote'] lol....at best this knock can earn him a ticket to watch Yuvi play :giggle:

He needs to score big in domestic cricket like these fellas Rohit has already been on the international circuit and shown he can play top class bowling. He has got a brilliant 100 against an Aussie attack consisiting of Lee, Johnson and Clark...thats equal to getting 1000 notout against Orissa

You wait when he is 25. He will be a run machine
