milkman Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 For godsakes, re-arm Indian police with these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_&_Koch_MP7 Some of the cops were carrying Lee Enfield of WW II vintage, some of them probably from Mangal Pandey's days!!! I have been saying that for last 2 days! It's so ****ing obvious! Hell even a cheap AK47 will be an improvement.
MarathaPride Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 India's Greatest Heroes. May Bhagwan Bless these courageous souls! :isalute::isalute:

If there was then this would not have happened in the first place. Bhagwan is in your hands. India should help itself and not look for Bhagwan.

MarathaPride Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Abhe there is no bhagwan shagwan. If there was then this would not have happened in the first place. Bhagwan is in your hands. India should help itself and not look for Bhagwan. Your concept of God is rather stunted. In any event, this is hardly the time to debate that.
veer Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 seriously' date=' if we don't do something this time I can't imagine how the army or cops can stay motivated...[/quote'] cuz they are answarable to COUNTRY and to their CONSCOUS.. but not to politicians..
vroomfondel Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 cuz they are answarable to COUNTRY and to their CONSCOUS.. but not to politicians.. a country that continues to elect people like this has no conscience and deserves everything it gets.
jf1gp_1 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 how many of you actually have family in defense/police ?
Fontaine Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 I hope the city of Mumbai does true justice to these fallen heroes and creates a monument to their valor so we can honor it for generations to come.
Fontaine Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 how many of you actually have family in defense/police ? I do. An uncle in police and father who works in the ministry. He was near the Parliament building when the militants attacked it and thankfully wasn't hurt. Two fine human beings who remain loyal to the Indian spirit regardless of race/religion. Jai Hind.

milkman Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Just words don't help. Give them better training' date=' give them better equipment ![/quote'] Yep! Did they even have night vision equipment? Their walki talkies were so basic.
varun Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Yep! Did they even have night vision equipment? Their walki talkies were so basic. The NSG Commandos are supposed to have had heat-detection & night-vision equipment. Though I highly doubt it.. Indian babugiri mein kuch nahi milta kisi ko.
Guest Hiten. Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Despite all the deficiency (in terms of arms and ammunition) our commando's, policemen fought bravely and backed the govt's decision of not coming to terms with the terrorists at any condition. These men who became martyr didn't have to do this but for our motherland they gave away their leisures in life. Very proud of these men and I hope I do get at least 10% of courage these guys carry in my life if I ever was to face such situation. :isalute:
milkman Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 One died to rescue an injured cop and then stayed back to prevent other NSG commandos getting killed.
