Fact is once elecotral drama ends these guys sit together and assess the situation..... Don't get swayed by all the drama during election. Hilary's presence gives me confidence too although Bill screwed us last time.... it was during his regime that we saw kashmir problme balloon and bill looked elsehwree kept playing footsy with pakistan while chastising india for that human rights violenation bogey.. he attained nirwana only in last stage of his presidency that too when pakistan embarrased america by Kargil.. Some don't have any strong emotions, but just want to live their life in peace. They are neither patriotic nor un-patriotic. Not that anything's wrong with that. It's good in these divided times to be apolitical.

I don't want to get my hopes up with any American administration with a change in their foreign policy towards India over Pakistan. Naturally, they will look out for their interests and are never pro-India without their interests in mind. Rice was sent over immediately after Mumbai attacks, just to keep Indians in check and not to take any hasty actions. India could any day say that just like USA, they want to take out military terrorists camps in Pak. Americans wouldn't want Ind-Pak escalations because it will distract from their "War" on terror. Ultimately, the losers are Indians looking foolish waiting on Pakistan action, which will never be anything serious towards peace in the region. I think Obama wants American mediation in Kashmir struggle and wants a resolution. We don't want anybody meddling with our business.

From being a poster boy of the West, when the War on Terror started, with a barrage of both military and economic aid, Pakistan is now well and truly the pariah state, the target of most Western brickbats. One thing's for sure, the Cold War is well and truly over.
