Cricketics Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 i heard from few pakistanis that guys like Aurangzeb and babbar and other mughal emperors have been made to look as heros in pakistani history text books and have been labeled as very very sane and great emperors. how can they do this?? why are pakistanis in school being taught fake history.. meanwhile, our rana pratap and shivaji and all have been made to look evil folkz. how can they show bias in history.. Wrong stuff is being taught to the students and no action is being taken.
Cricketics Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 all these mughal emperors have tortured the Hinduz and christianz and sikh community. Every new emperor used to raise the tax on these three communities and treat them as slaves. how can one be made to look hero after doing all this???
Sachinism Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Its in their nature, they've always been thick, they want the next generation to be even more stupid
vadodaravictor Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about it . They will reap what they sow.
Lurker Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Instead of chastising Pakistan, as Indians these days are prone to do, maybe it is also worthwhile to celebrate why India has been able to evade such nonsense. No its not because we are Hindu dominated nation, or veggie eating people. It is because we had leaders who gave us a country where we take issues like fair books, democracy, hi-tech instiutions etc for granted. Pakistan never had that. Jinnah died too early. Time to celebrarte Nehru

Every new emperor used to raise the tax on these three communities and treat them as slaves. how can one be made to look hero after doing all this??? In our historay book we can't even have courage to call Aurangjeb ( even hitler doesn't hold canlde to thsi guy) what he was.. So we have gone opposite way. Recently Fancois Gautier's organization FACT had a painting show on Aurangjeb , tamilnadu govt shut it down within a day such is the low self-esteem of our people. You can't say on public Tv that Aurangjeb in his court killed Gurur teg bahadur.. I am supposed to celebrate this kind of lefitst pinko vetitng of history books and organize a kirtan for Nehrujii for this effort..

Time to celebrarte Nehru Yeh Nehru did a great job. But you can't say Pakistan are denied good education because Jinnah died early, that has nothing to do with anything, there were plenty of others who could have done something about it And now they have an education system in place, there is no excuse for teaching crap. Mughal emperors being shown as heroes is non-sense, these kids will grow up thinking just because they're Muslim, they're better than everyone. And people wonder where this terror breeds from. The whole system in Pakistan is wrong. Pakistan is a failure
Centrino Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Speaking of history I have another question (hope i am not derailing the topic). I am new here and have enjoyed reading some of the posts and hoping some of you gurus can shed some light on this I did some of my schooling in 80's and 90's in India and the map of India that I studied and grew up with resembles the map shown below. We had the full J/K state as part of the India with all the other states in its entirety (sorry not sure why Chandigarh is blinking :)) however now if I am on bbc or any of the wesetern media the maps are always different with J/K shown in different ways. I really do not like the way the bbc displays the J/K region as shown below and seemed to give a very different view of India. Who control these maps and can the Indian government sue some of these media outlets for an incorrect map or is it something that this was always a disputed territory but we were tough in schools to believe something else?

We have our own set of problems viz a viz history books :hysterical::hysterical: this has to be the most useless post of yours ever, and thats saying something considering the trash you post. So can you enlighten us all as to some PMs who have done more for Indian education than Nehru did. Specifics should help. Afterall you should give some credit to yorself too :hysterical::hysterical:
Lurker Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Who control these maps and can the Indian government sue some of these media outlets for an incorrect map or is it something that this was always a disputed territory but we were tough in schools to believe something else? What is shown in Western media is mostly true. Indian map shows official Indian area, some of which we dont have control over as of today. POK and Aksai chin for example. Pakistan shows entire Kashmir on its map even though they have a fraction under control. Hope that helps.
Lurker Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Yeh Nehru did a great job. But you can't say Pakistan are denied good education because Jinnah died early' date=' that has nothing to do with anything, there were plenty of others who could have done something about it. And now they have an education system in place, there is no excuse for teaching crap. Mughal emperors being shown as heroes is non-sense, these kids will grow up thinking just because they're Muslim, they're better than everyone. And people wonder where this terror breeds from. The whole system in Pakistan is wrong. Pakistan is a failure[/quote'] Jinnah was the greatest leader Pakistan had and so had he been alive things may have turned out differently. Remember I say may cos we dont know for sure. Aside from that the nation Pakistan was founded on the basic premise that Hindu-Muslims are different and can not co-exist. As a result Pakistanis have grown up on some random feeding of how India is always an enemy. On the other hand India was formed as a nation where every religion was equal. And so Hindu-Muslims have existed side by side if not always happy together. Read this for a good idea on the subject(a piece by eminent journalist MJ Akbar) http://mjakbarblog.blogspot.com/2008/12/two-nation-theory-has-bred-practice-of.html

I also had shock of my life when I saw international map of India for first time. I was so pissed off. Now, I am used to seeing international map with strong feeling that I might never, in my life, see the Indian version of the map in CIA factbook.
Dhondy Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Hehehe... so you did not read my thread on Pakistan - All you wanted to know... thread properly ... :--D Forget about their textbooks ... have a look at the names of their Missiles ... Ghori, Ghazni ... etc ... They even had a frigate named after Tippu ... someone who never set foot inside current day Pak ... :hysterical: What do you expect them to call those? Prithviraj Chauhan?
Dhondy Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Ghori and Ghazni plundered India and hence are their icons. As if you didn't know that. My enemy's enemy is my friend. No surprises there.
Rajiv Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 ..not at all schools have that system , my ex-wife studied in one of the british schools and their teacher used to correct them when they displayed the wrong map ( i.e, with POK )
Predator_05 Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 To be fair, India did name one of it's missiles Prithvi, ie; after Privthiraj Chauhan.
