nsareen Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 plate div bengal vs railways : bengal fast bowlers have been very consistent this season. AP Ramesh Singh has been top wicket takers in the season with 3 5fers. & also Ravikant Singh with a single 5fer. http://www.bcci.tv/bcci/bccitv/community/domesticresult/livescorecard/713 This is the big one. I'm very keenly following Vijay Zol's progress. I had posted some time back about his humongous AVERAGE this season and he is the Top scorer this season with an average of above 170 with total runs of over 1200, second best is close to 700( just FYI). And in this match too he has scored a century. He strikes a century at a rapid pace too. he has a 400+ 250+ 180+ score already this season. http://www.bcci.tv/bcci/bccitv/community/domesticresult/livescorecard/718 Mumbai vs UP , UP has been a better team, with AD nath leading the run charts. They have some good bowlers too. http://www.bcci.tv/bcci/bccitv/community/domesticresult/livescorecard/719

He scores a 150* till now in the second innings also. I'm sure he will play the U19 world cup this year, if he stays fit. Anybody else following him, or it's just me.
rkt.india Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Yes, he must be in India U19. Left arm pacer Mohsin Syyed has also done well.
nsareen Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Yes' date=' he must be in India U19. Left arm pacer Mohsin Syyed has also done well.[/quote'] yes, in this match, but overall there are some new bowlers who have come up in this tournament. Huda, Ravikant singh have done well.
saneindian Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 When is the u-19 team going to play an away tour. Can't remember our u-19 guys going on a first class tour to SA/Aus/England in the recent past.

Can't remember our u-19 guys going on a first class tour to SA/Aus/England in the recent past. This team has not toured away yet. Last U19 had gone to Australia and likes of Mandeep and Mayank Aggarwal has scored 100s then.
rkt.india Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Vijay Zol takes his score from 150 to 225* Vijay Zol is becoming a phenomenon here like Tendulkar was in his early days. He already has 3 double hundreds, miles ahead anyone in Cooch Behar Trophy this season.

He already has 3 double hundreds' date=' miles ahead anyone in Cooch Behar Trophy this season.[/quote'] I dont think so tendulkar was so dominating as this lad is... just look at the scores already 1500+ runs second best close to 700, with one match to go. 2 double centuries(1 was 292) 1 quadruple century(451), 1 close to double hundred(180). he is a galaxy ahead of the others. And the important thing is he could have easily played this tournament the next year, he just came out of a U16 season and drafted in U19 @ 17. If he stays this good even in Ranji/ U19 world cup, we may have something special to see in the future. It all looks rosy from the onset, but he has to perform and fulfil his potential at the highest level, the talent is very much existent. I've seen his pictures, he is shorter in height than raina, could be warner's height as of now. i've been following U19 since Reetinder singh sodhi/Yuvraj singh, i dont think so i';ve seen anyone with such consistency and dominance ever @ cooch behar level.

the_indian_fan Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 vijay zol is a special talent. he will even end up smashing tendulkars records the way he is playing. look at his scores - 451*, 292, 180, 121, 225*. over 1500 runs in 7 matches looking forward to his performances in the u-19 world cup :D
rkt.india Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Though no matter how many runs he has scored in Cooch Behar, he would need to be an exception to be like Tendulkar of 1989.
chainsmoker1985 Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Short interview with him + a few shots nashik boy vijay zol he get 451 runs - YouTube Which language? Translation please.... He doesn't look like 16-17, he looks like 19-20
rkt.india Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 Umar Nazir a pacer from J&K is the highest wicket taker this year in Cooch Behar trophy. Must be a special feat for a J&K cricketer. http://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Events/17/Cooch_Behar_Trophy_2012-13/Bowling_by_Wickets.html
