If you’re a white man wearing shorts and carrying a racquet bag, you can waltz in with no questions asked. If you’re an Indian tennis player, well, then you’d better be sure you are carrying proper authorisation. “There is open discrimination,” says Ashutosh Singh, who played the qualifiers. “White-skinned players are seldom frisked or stopped but as far as we go, we are fair game.” Former national champion Sunil Kumar Sipaeya agreed. “We don’t mind being subjected to security checks but when it happens only to Indians, it is cause for concern. I was running around to get my players’ pass made before my match but it was strange when a foreign competitor told me he had never carried his to the event even once.” Tournament director Fernando Soler told Hindustan Times “no one had complained” to them yet. “The instructions to security are the same for all players. This is the first time we are hearing of this,” he said. But Kamala Kanan, who has played the event for over a decade, but did not make the cut this time, said it’s always been the case at Chennai. “Indians are always given second rate treatment as compared to foreigners.” link

Pakis, Bungles and Lankans ALL fall into the same category thus all face the same abuse. Even though, even though, EVEN THOUGH, my sources tell me that some Paki mahaans enter 'White Non Hispanic Caucasian' on their I-94 arrival forms. Harharharharhar..... :finger:

There were 2 floors; the 1st was for people who stayed in the hotel and guys with girls, the 2nd was for only guys. That kinda segregation pissed me off but knowing how an average drunk would behave with girls in a bar in chennai, i let it slide. That was until i saw them letting foreigners in. I was being racially harassed in my own Country. Anyway, me and my friend made a big deal out of it and complained to the waiter who promptly called the manager. After another round of shouting for that bar having racists policies, he gave me a complaint form to fill up. That is all. A freaking peice of paper which noone reads. He didnt try to explain or defend the policy. Just said it was hotel policy and thats that.

Get one of those news hungry 24 hours news channels after them.

Haven't watched many south movies for language barrier, but it's really disgusting when I see present day Hindi songs having many "goree" item girls dancing at background contrast to this in South Indian cinema, whatever I have watched in past they stick to their Indic roots and culture. No showbaazi Pakiness. The one I remember, from Kamal Hassan Virumundi movie if I recollect name right, are attached with grassroot. Prehaps too much domination of Khan's have damaged art in Hindi movies.

Prehaps too much domination of Khan's have damaged art in Hindi movies. very good post.. adding to that.. just after few days of mumbai blast, i saw an article on Yahoo India site about how the directors/choreographers are finding it hard to find Gori Ladkiyaz to dance on Indian songs, all of a sudden as most of them are refusing to tour India for a while because of the bomblast which had just taken place. goes on show the obsession with the gori ladkiyaz. i think even in India they might find enough call girls who are pretty gori.. if they are in some serious need of goriz

It's almost like MS Window monopoly. No chance for competition or alternative creativity. Mera dard semejho. Every freakin channel I tune, a Shahrukh is giving some talk. Then we have whole host of confused generation who get more confused when a Shahrukh talks about Ind-Pak bhaichara. Why can't these stars stick with their hip gyrating business with goree gals in background and leave those national issues for others.

I hate him for taking roles where he goes to his saas and says "ma mujhay apni godi mein sar rakhnay de" , "tu meri ma hai" . He flirts with the mom in law and shows too much pyaar ... which ****s up aam aadmi ki relationship... because of him now all girls want their hubby to be like that with their mom in laws .. I fraaacking hate him
