Next US Vice President Joe Biden to visit Pak Islamabad: US Vice President-elect Joseph Biden will travel to Pakistan this week to defuse regional tensions in the wake of the Mumbai Terror attacks, according to a media report. A high-level Congressional delegation will accompany Biden during the two-day visit diplomatic sources were quoted as saying by a TV channel. The sources said the delegation is likely to arrive in Pakistan on January 9. The delegation is expected to meet President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to discuss Pakistan-India relations, the war on terror and a 15-billion dollar aid package for Islamabad. http://www.indianexpress.com/news/us-vicepresident-elect-visiting-pakistan/406854//

pakis are born beggars, if it is not USA, it will be Ummah leader Saudis or Chincommies. But my point is, the so called --- "agent of change" whom Amreekan population elected as a punishment to themselves for their intelligence failure in IRAQ WMDs. So far Messiha or agent of "Change" has not shown anything which anyone can call a change. All he has done is surrounded himself with some vested interest politicians and rockefeller hawks. I have been saying this right here since pre-US election that Obama is a double faced liar -- he will be a BIG disaster for India-US relations. He has already hinted blaming India and bringing Kashmir word. US is going back to Clintonian era of blaming India and all terrorist killing on Kashmir problem. Worse Obama is hell bent on appointing Clinton to act as univited w*h0re in Kashmir. Surely India will not like this. Indian analysts like MK Bhadrakumar have already warned Obama to stay away from Kashmir nonsense and follow George Bush policy in India relations. I am afraid the close relations which India and US forged thanks to great efforts of Bush and McCain will again go down in drain due to arrival of Messiha of "no" change!

No surprises here. US will not do our dirty work for us. They will only look after their interests regardless of whether its "right" or "wrong". Plainly put, its really up to us to act or not. I dont like whining!

Also, our past record and confused diplomacy, Nehruvian era legacy is not encouraging for any nation to engage us in some serious alliance. For example, during Nehru era, democratic India was the country which was offerred permanent membership of United Nations ahead of China . But Nehru was a fanatic socialist, he said, communist Chinese deserve this more than India, thereby prooving that Indians are masters in shooting on their own foot. Kaangressi ruled India's moronic idea of creation and association with non-alliagned movement(NAM) which yielded zero net results to India in terms of geo-political benefits only further proved to US that India is just another pain in a*ss. And even today what guarantee is there, that we are serious in fighting war on terror. Why should US trust a country which has record of half hearted attempts and double speak when it comes to dealing with Islamic terrorism. Heck our Kaangressi leadres are still afraid of openly condemning Hamas and Taliban, fearing that it might draw the ire of deobandi ulemas in India, loosing their vote count. Point is US giving aid to Pakistan is because there is no alternative for them. They know India is hopeless. They can't provide us any support in war on terror. Let New Delhi grow some balls and tell US that we are ready to send troops in Afghanistan, provided you stop paying Jaziya money to Pakistan, and then we can see how US responds. Even I am shamed of opening such whine threads, but what to do, Kaangress ne naa idhar ka rakhaa na udhar ka.

^^^ Understood. I completely agree here. I dont expect a war to be declared on Pak, but some serious internal cleanup and muscle flexing needs to be done. For Godsakes, can the govt at least seal the effin borders??!!!

I don't think you quite understand the enormity of sealing borders like Rajasthan and Kashmir. Not saying we have done a great job in sealing borders in general, but borders of Punjab, north Rajasthan, and Jammu are pretty impervious. And the focus on the west front has meant that BD has been left neglected, which they should start doing with all seriousness. But that will never solve the issue - Rajasthan and Kashmir will always be prone to infilteration.

But why BD borders are not being sealed is completely beyond me. Nepal and BD have been 2 serious ISI lairs for at least a decade now! In the recent past, every high profile terror attack loonies seem to have entered from BD or Nepal. Inspite of these events, it hurts to see little or no action - instead we distribute ration cards and passports now?!?

This was bound to happen, Biden was on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and he hawked over Pakistan all the tme. But whats interesting is how BO fulfills on his promise of roping in accountability for the billions the US spends in Pakistan. Which is fine. I dont want a broke Pak hovering around my border either, but so long as BO irritates them into spending that money on supplies to American troops or improving infrastructure on the Western border it actually works in Indias favor. Pathans refuse to accept the Durand line, with improved infrastructure the need to group and solidify the unity among Pathans will just increase.

Let's hear how?
There is no place to hide.. Video surveillance through satellite, first hand air-surveillance even electronic surveillance is easier than you might have the same in populated areas or mountainous areas....

this is very disrespectful to refer to the future secretary of state of the US this way. how would appreciate toby keith speaking about your foreign minister this way in a song? bottom line is that the US is the world's most generous country on earth. the amount of aid we deliver to nations is far more the the rest of the world's countries put together. we give $4 billion to the Israelis each year and this is asides from loan guarantees. we give another $2 billion to the egyptians. and those are just the largest recipients. how much does india or china give? how much does the EU donate? please show a little more respect to the country which is sharing nuclear technology with you.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL, respect. :hysterical: So you think US is doing a favor ? India is going to provide BILLIONS to buy that nuclear technology from US and also open up facilities for inspection. It is all business and politics, and no one is doing anyone a favor here.

First of all it is not about Hillary but Bill Clinton whom Burqa Obama wants to appoint as so called "special envoy" to Kashmir. My point is comparison between previous Bush administration and it's excellent relation with India which Burqa Obama is doing everything to spoil. Bush admin. never brought Kashmir prejudice while dealing with India in foreign policy, while Obama wants to reverse that. There is NO way India will accept mediation, meddling in Kashmir. It will only spoil the good relations initiated during Bush admin.

Respect your patriotism towards US. But let me make this clear, if at all you think that India also receives so called "donations" then you are seriously mistaken. India has nearly Trillion foreign reserves. It stopped receiving "donations" loooong back. On contrary, as of 2008 India is one of the few largest donors to Afghanistan along with Japan, Europe and Australia, In fact India is the second largest with an amount of more than 800 million dollars donated for re-construction of war torn Afghanistan. But as a good Dharmic nation, we never further our petty gain or meddle in Afghan's ethnic affair just beacause we donate them generous money! And the same reciprocity is expected from any other country.

Err...Correction -- it's not sharing rather Selling. India already has it's own Nuclear technology, heck India is ONLY country engaged in development of Fast Breeder Reactor technlogy to extract Uranium from Thorium which is available in abundance in Indian soil. And it's in critical stage. But due to fast growth India needs Uranium to sustain it's infrastructure and urban power requirements. We like many other nations don't have natural Uranium. India can't get Uranium because it has refused to sign discriminatory NPT. So this deal will lift all those restrictions basically all India is interested is in getting Uranium. Reactor and technology is just a secondary thing which will see competition from Russia, France, Canada and India's own reactor tech. Eventually, even America knows once India's FBR programm completes, this deal will be as good as another commodity trading deal.
