Antivirus software is mostly bloatware and even unnecessary if you don't click on attachments from unknown people; I'm beginning to think this whole industry is a scam with current browsers which are now malware aware(or they can be made pretty pathological). I have been antivirus s/w free for the past couple of years and haven't missed a beat; if you are windows just make sure that - you do automatic windows update - clean up your pc(crap cleaner will do nicely) regularly. - don't take candy from strangers(ie don't read spam) Save your money.

hehe, I thought if someone was buying McAffe, this would be good for them. Personally, I use Nod32 or Kaspersky. Maybe one of these days, I'll install Arch and be cool :shades_smile:
