Ram
Yousuf is a Mercenery, as simple as that. You give him enough money and enticements and he'll quit ICL and even play ball-boy for the tennis matches in your apartment. He has absolutely no ethical benchmarks whatsoever. If a guy can keep switching between competing leagues without an iota of shame, then what does that say about how good a team-man he would have been, in the Pakistani cricket team? Despite the mountain-load of runs he scored, he must have been quite an unpopular character. One thing's for sure though. At any given time, the 11 players of the Pakistani cricket team can all be classified into these three categories - The Actual Captain - Players who want to become captain - Players who hate the captain. :D Link to comment
Dinx - the Jinx
Add to it - People who were once captains People who dont want to be captains (or atleast posing as they dont want) Link to comment

EnterTheVoid
How desperate? -> This desperate Pakistan desperate to play Australia - in England PAKISTAN will offer to play Australia at a neutral venue, possibly even England, this year because of the ongoing terror threat and the board's perilous financial position. Pakistan did not play a Test last year and is on the verge of bankruptcy after Australia and India withdrew from recent tours and the Champions Trophy was postponed for security reasons. Ricky Ponting's team is scheduled to play the one-day leg of the postponed tour in April this year, and Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ijaz Butt said offshore venues Kuala Lumpur, Abu Dhabi and England would be considered if Australia again declined to tour. "We want to host Australia in Pakistan," Butt said. "But if they have their security concerns, these are the three venues which will come up for discussions when I meet officials of Cricket Australia in Perth later this month." Pakistan has been steadfast in its refusal to consider neutral venues since hosting Australia in Sri Lanka and Sharjah in 2002. However, the recent Mumbai attacks by terrorists allegedly trained in Pakistan moved India to suspend cricket ties and the financially crippled board is desperate for matches. A Cricket Australia spokesman last night said it was imperative to keep Pakistan in the game. "It is up to Pakistan to work out the venues for the coming series and we are waiting for their advice," he said http://www.smh.com.au/news/sport/cricket/pakistan-desperate-to-play-australia--in-england/2009/01/14/1231608794136.html Cancelled tours hurting Pakistan Pakistan cricket was on the verge of bankruptcy and needed concrete efforts to restore its coffers after Australia and India cancelled their tours, a top official said yesterday. India last month refused to tour Pakistan amid heightened tensions following the November attacks on Mumbai, which India blamed on militants based across the border. The cancellation cost the Pakistan Cricket Board ''at least $US40million [$A60.37million],'' PCB chairman Ijaz Butt said. ''Emergency steps are needed, otherwise we will have no money and will have to carry a begging bowl before the government,'' he said. Pakistan has been a virtual no-go zone for foreign teams since the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States, which sparked security fears for teams concerned about suicide bombers and other attacks. The cancellation of India's tour was the third major cricket event called off in Pakistan last year, after Australia refused to tour in March and the ICC postponed the elite eight-nation Champions Trophy set for August 2008. Rescheduled for September-October this year, the Champions Trophy was likely to generate $A7.55million for Pakistan if it went ahead, Butt said. http://www.canberratimes.com.au/news/local/sport/cricket/cancelled-tours-hurting-pakistan/1407895.aspx Oh, this is fun to watch Wouldn't it be funny is Australia refused to tour England because of "security concerns" with the biggest threat coming from the Pak's themselves, not cricketing wise ofcourse Link to comment
ludhianvi
Dubai is a viable option for Pakistan to host the matches. Last year, I think they wanted to host the matches in Pakistan and Pakistan only. When that didnt work, it down to plan B for Pakistan. Link to comment
