seedhi Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I can not wait to see if a family member of yours gets roughed up. here's wishing it gets done pretty soon. cant wait.Your response reveals quite a lot about your family and upbringing. I personally started the thread and it received quite a few responses. Feel free to use the Search button.I was alluding to the media in general not to you. Why didnt our Renuka Chaudhary label those msulims who beat up that girl as Taliban? It seems Taliban is a label that can only be applied to Hindus in India.
Ram Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 And neither is a few girls being roughed up by a bunch of hooligans the most pressing problem we face today. This incident is being treated as a terrorist attack and comparisons to the Taliban are being made. When a few days ago a muslim woman was beaten by a muslim womens group up for sporting a tattoo on her back' date=' then where was the outrage? I guess it is customary to lose all perspective when the hooligans are Hindus rather than Muslims.[/quote'] You have this totally wrong. The issue is not what we as posters in a message board react more or less to, its about the original act of those idiots. To think that Ram sena, probably a registered political party chose this issue to do something about, rather than address the other important issues, itself show what a bunch of shameless lowlives that organization and its leader is. So yes, they do deserve to be roundly condemned. Of course, I dont expect you to do that.
graphic23 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Your response reveals quite a lot about your family and upbringing. Er. the fact that you think this is less than a terrorist attack shows your upbringing. If in my country, my friends and I can't go to a bar in the evening and have a drink without the women in the group being "roughed up" and molested (NDTV.com), then I can consider myself living in Taliban - not in the largest democracy in the world. You bring up the muslim ladies beating up another pakistani one a few days ago to show that we're not as critical - please read the responses - it was just as bad. You cannot use another crime to justify yours. ---- I'm quite surprised that some of us are unwilling to condemn this act. But I'm even more surprised that someone hasn't raised the point that having named themselves the "Ram Sena", they're insulting the name and the ideas that Rama stood for.
Lurker Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Your response reveals quite a lot about your family and upbringing. Good to see my point hit home right away. I was alluding to the media in general not to you. Why didnt our Renuka Chaudhary label those msulims who beat up that girl as Taliban? It seems Taliban is a label that can only be applied to Hindus in India. You can bring a PIL against media in general if you are interested. At the end people can only speak for themselves, or in other cases of the society they indulge in. Personally speaking, and from the MB perspective, the issue was raised and discussed so yes I do think I have the right to say you are wrong about this whole issue of Muslims getting away softly while Hindus are hanged. xxx
Lurker Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 The loony left and the secular brigade have their own dogmatic principles, and extreme interpretation of which gives rise to disasters like the naxals. So lets get this straight, you have the intelligence to lump left and secular brigade as one and the same??? In other words Communist Parties of India and Congress are one and the same to you? Thanks for the laughs. Now do help me understand how say Congress is responsible for Naxalism in India. So if RSS can be grouped with any fringe fanatic group that is religious, surely secular jholawala brigade should stand in line with the naxal-maoist butchers who have killed thousands across India. What bothers me is the lack of outrage among these same secularists members of the loony left indulge in such acts. Have the naxals been compared to the Taliban by these secular freaks yet, inspite of them having similarly ravaged entire populations? That analogy is off-base, and I would wait for your comparison to see how thats valid. The issue of Naxalism has its root in land reforms, it has NOTHING to do with religion. Comprende? What the Ram Sena does IS related to religion. xxxx
seedhi Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Er. the fact that you think this is less than a terrorist attack shows your upbringing.Actually' date=' it is not me, but Indian Law that considers this offence to be at a different level than a terrorist attack. Just like a slap is a different offence than a murder which different from corruption and so forth. You bring up the muslim ladies beating up another pakistani one a few days ago to show that we're not as critical - please read the responses - it was just as bad.My allusion was not to the messages posted in this forum but rather to the media coverage and the response of the government. Did any minister compare the muslim riots when the Danish cartoons were published to the Taliban? No. Did Renuka Chaudhary compare the muslims who beat up a girl a few days ago for sporting a tattoo of koranic verses to the Taliban? No! This is the hypocrisy among the media and the so called secular people that bothers me. Is Taliban a word that the Indian media and the secular parties are supposed to employ only for Hindus?
cowboysfan Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 i dont get some of the posters here.why are we equating overselves to these terrorists and islamic hate mongers?.i didnt know our behavior is dictated by what they do.dont we have a higher morality than those people?.we should be better than them.why does every issue have to be looked through the islamic lens?
cowboysfan Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 Not equating. Just exposing the hypocrysy of certain posters here who get bent out of shape (for wrong reasons) at the mention of 47' date='89 , 86 etc and Islamic terrorism in general. The usual excuses such as 1% only come out. Why not now is my question. Fair ?[/quote'] let me ask you this-what is your opinion on this ram sena and its ilk?do you think what they are doing is right?.is violence against women a hindu principle?.there is a definition in the dictionary for terrorism and what these goondas are doing in the name of their twisted interpretation of my religion is terrorism.

Now do help me understand how say Congress is responsible for Naxalism in India.[/quote']You equated the RSS with the Taliban and the Republicans, I think that is much more absurd. If RSS can be equated with the Taliban merely because both are religious, even though the religions differ I can equate Congress with the communists and the Naxals. All of them swear by secularism and socialism, the difference is only in the degrees of fanaticism. That analogy is off-base, and I would wait for your comparison to see how thats valid. The issue of Naxalism has its root in land reforms, it has NOTHING to do with religion. Comprende? What the Ram Sena does IS related to religion. So what? By the yardstick of savagery, heinousness and the irrationality of the violence perpetrated by the outfits, I find the naxals to be much much closer to the Taliban. The point is that both stretch their interpretation of morality and justice, based on their own set of dogmas, to an extent which is way beyond reasonable leading to a much graver threat of violence.
seedhi Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 let me ask you this-what is your opinion on this ram sena and its ilk?do you think what they are doing is right?.is violence against women a hindu principle?.there is a definition in the dictionary for terrorism and what these goondas are doing in the name of their twisted interpretation of my religion is terrorism. There is a definition of terrorist activities in Indian law and what these hooligans did does not even come close to it. Comparing them to terrorists or Taliban is like comparing a slap to murder.
Lurker Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 i dont get some of the posters here.why are we equating overselves to these terrorists and islamic hate mongers?.i didnt know our behavior is dictated by what they do.dont we have a higher morality than those people?.we should be better than them.why does every issue have to be looked through the islamic lens? Rather simple. If you can't convince them, confuse them. What do you expect the bhagwa brigade to say - Yes these Hindu morons are wrong? Not gonna happen, that will require lot of balls, both moral and from a conviction point of view.
Lurker Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 This is the thread that you started :http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?p=564415#post564415 First up, great to see you didnt have the time, or arguments, back when the thread was started but now could find it immediately. In here you try to spread the guilt by holding entire Mumbai guilty instead of calling the orgnaization that did this. Indeed. If you will search this thread you will also see I have made comments about Bangalore not being this kind of place either. YOU have one track mind - Blame Muslims for all the ills, anything short of that and I shall call you a psec. It doesnt work that way in my book. You also tried to drag in Shiv senas acts against comedians. Didnt use anything like that in that thread, look it up once again. I dont see any harsh words that you used like here in this case nor is there any mention of "taliban" or the "Bhagwa brigade" equivalent for that community. Any reasons ? The reason is rather simple. Follow my post carefully, which I am sure you do, and you will see me do this equation ALL the time. The right wing loonies of both Muslim and Hindus are the same. Balasaheb Deoras and Jinnah are two sides of the same coin, I wrote a couple of days back. I am just not like you who keeps repeating the same thing over and again. But yeah search for that quote and you shall find. xxx
Lurker Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 You equated the RSS with the Taliban and the Republicans' date=' I think that is much more absurd. [b']If RSS can be equated with the Taliban merely because both are religious, even though the religions differ I can equate Congress with the communists and the Naxals. All of them swear by secularism and socialism, the difference is only in the degrees of fanaticism. Is that your best argument? Then I dare say you have no arguments at all. You are simply being argumentative for the heck of it. Sorry not interested in wasting my time when you really dont know about the issue you are defending. Simple answer. No you are wrong. Here is the difference(if you are willing to listen and learn). Naxalism started due to failure of land reforms. It is a peasant struggle which went out of hand. The issue at question is who has the right to own land? Those who inherit it? Or those who till it? This is nothing new. Countries all around the world have faced this problem(in the West it is often referred to as, amongst other, Squatters right). Incidents(like the one in question here) happens when a section of society(the moronic Hindu brigade that is) have issues against people who have done the former absolutely nothing wrong. A group of young girls are having a sip of drink. Whoopeee dooo!! How does that remotely concern these Hindu moral brigade? I hope you see how your analogy is totally flawed. xxx
cowboysfan Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 ORLY ? Are you Zaid Hamid ? what the heck?.is this the paki propanganda guy? the definition of terrorism-: the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion.so these variuos senas are coercion and intimidation to achieve their goals.sure there are worse terrorists organizations in the world who resort to mass slaughter but what the shiv sena and its ilk are doing is in no way right.if you dont get it then they have already succeded in doing what they want.
seedhi Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Is that your best argument? Then I dare say you have no arguments at all. You are simply being argumentative for the heck of it. Sorry not interested in wasting my time when you really dont know about the issue you are defending.I dont know how to be clearer - your basis for equating RSS, Republicans and the Taliban on the basis of religiosity is as tenuous as equating congress, communists and naxals on the basis of their commitment to socialism. Here is my reasoning. Both the Taliban and the naxals strike fear into the populace by employing overwhelming and cruel acts of retribution. They both employ guerilla tactics. They use sophisticated weapons to kill and maim people in mass numbers. They do not hesitate to use violence against law enforcers. Their primary aims are to overthrow the rule of law and their goals directly threaten the integrity of the state. The naxals are tried for acts of terrorism under the Indian law and so would the Taliban be. In simple words - under the Indian law, Taliban and the Naxals both are terrorist elements. These hooligans of Mangalore are not. That is why in my eyes, as under the Indian law, the naxals are much closer to Taliban than these hooligans.
Guest dada_rocks Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 jesus attack shiv sena for their nonsense not someone else's

Guest dada_rocks Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Here see the nutters clubbing everyone together using wide brush without a remorse and the moment you use terms like muslim terror ( despite the fact muslim terror happesn every week if not every day) you get lecture about how generalization is bad...
