graphic23 Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Its very unfortunate that its happening. As far I am concerned, Australia has some of the best natural forests in the world. I hope everyone who is near to Victoria [and wherever else] is safe. My prayers for the lives lost.
Mr. Wicket Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 It's a real tragedy - the Age reports over 125 dead with 750+ homes destroyed. Gutting. Towns, schools, a ton of houses and so much more have just been wiped out. Horrendous.

It was horrifying to hear the news that 6 people were found dead in single a car, burned by the raging fires, as they tried to escape it.

Entire towns have been reduced to ruins by the fast-moving fires, which have destroyed at least 750 homes. More than a dozen blazes were still burning today.
