bharat297
He cost us 2 matches in a row? Hmmm Well we've only lost 1 match in the past 7 months. But its pretty hard to find consistent form when ur placed at no.6 and no.7 even though ur not a power hitter and then dropped every second game. But I'm telling you amits ... you can have your opinions, but i disagree on this one. I see something very special in Rohit Sharma. He is proving himself in domestic cricket and has a wonderful record in T20s. I think he needs to be given a spot up the top of the order (maybe no.4 or 5) and kept there for several months to allow him to develop in to the role. Dhoni can bat 6. Link to comment
Lord
I'd be tempted to give Uthappam a chace for NZ tour (T20 and ODIs). He is in good form - if he cannot do well in NZ now with this form, he wont do well any other time. Give him a good run in NZ - let him show that he can play in different pitches and conditions as well. If he cannot perform, the answer is clear - he is restricted to India-style (subcont) pitches. he has done well in all conditions,he did well in england n in T20 wc in south africa.in australia too,he wasnt too bad.wrong to label him as subcontinent specialist.Raina is the one who hasnt performed abroad.i hope he does well in NZ.But i'm not too sure Link to comment

The exact opposite is true. He is a better player on quicker, bouncier pitches as his successes in Aus and SAF indicate. He prefers the ball coming on to the bat and relies on timing and placement. His form started to dip when India toured Sri Lanka, and then came back to India. I'm confident that this guy will turn things around. Link to comment
flamy
But, Uthappa's problem is that ridiculous falling-over shot where he signals to the umpire to watch closely for there might be an lbw happenin Link to comment

But even if he goes ahead of Rohit Sharma, does he get into the 11? (for ODIs)? Link to comment
