Godfather is the best, Scarface is off the hook still.. Pacino is brilliant in Donnie Brasco...should have won an award for that one. Based on a true story too.
Pacino should have won at least couple more Oscars. I donno how come de Niro won for Godfather-2 ahead of Pacino. You know when he was given the Oscar for Scent of a woman he was like "Phew...atlast they gave me!". Screw the Academy...I am going :offtopic: now so I am ending right here about Al. Full stop.

Off the topic' date=' Azhar made two of gravest mistakes as an Indian captain, winning the toss and opting to bowl first in the SF against SL in WC'96 and in the first game of Super 6 against Australia in '99.[/quote'] These two idiotic decisions are right up there with Dravid opting to field against SL in the 2007 world cup and (IMO) SCG opting to field in the 2003 World Cup Final.

Azhar's call to field v. SL is even worse, just because everyone warned him in advance that the pitch would crack and crumble and it would be difficult to chase under lights. After being made a fool of by Jayasuriya in the first round though, he still went ahead with the call. Really painful. The WC 99 game wasn't that big a deal. The way McGrath bowled that day - if Azhar had batted first, Pidge would probably have still slaughtered our top order.

and tendulkar allowing saeed anwar a runner for being tired cauz of heat and not cauz he is injured, and later he goes on to score 194. p.s - not being tendulkar critic here.. just saw that all the Greats of Indian critics are being mentioned like Dravid and Ganguly, then why not add Tendulkar.

One cant find fault with Gangs opting to field in the final, remember the group match when we got bundled out for 140 odd runs batting FIRST. But in case of the S/F it was a day/ night game and even someone who has played gully cricket wud know it is not that easy chasing under lights in Eden Gradens, let alone the captain of your national team.

I am not trying to belittle Pidge here but still Azhar should have batted first, maybe they were thinking of doing a Sharjah at The Oval.

You may bowl well, but that spell from Pigeon that day was outstanding. Just what you'd have expected from the great man in such a crunch game (as everything was do-or-die for Aus around that point); removing all the key players in no time with some brilliant seam bowling and ending the contest effectively before the fielding restrictions were up. And McGrath bowling early in the day in English conditions may have been even more deadly, with a bit more morning moisture in the pitch.

Another decision by SRT(which I thought was very silly at the time) was him not wanting Azhar for the '99 Aussie tour. Also that infamous follow on fiasco v NZ. B->

we were 2-0 down and had 3 games remaining as each group had 6 teams so we had to play 5 games. so after losing first 2 to south africa and zimbabwe, we had to win all 3. The Indian team played remarkably well, and the each game they won, they not only won, the made sure whoever is losing to us gets knocked out First it was Kenya. when they lost to us, they were knocked out then it was do or die game against lanka. whoever would have won, they would have stayed alive in the tourney. India defeated lanka and lanka got knocked out then it was England.. they lost and were knocked out. so basically it was a great 3 wins I still remember the emotion with which Tendulkar raised his bat after reaching century against Kenya. anyone remember that? he missed the zimbabwe game cauz he had to come back to India cauz his dad had died. and he came back with a blistering century against Kenya.
That was such an emotional moment. It takes a lot of courage and mental strength to score a century like that.
