Re: Was India "fixed" out of the WC?

Both the losses to Bangla and SL, the manner of dismissals, Bob's death, Pakistan's exit all make it compelling for me to believe that Indian players were fixed.... What is your take...
what does Bob's death and Pakistan's exit got to do with India losing ?

Re: Was India "fixed" out of the WC? Good grief, you're an idiot if you're putting every loss down to fixing. Here's a harsh little truth for you: India is NOT a great team. Not by any standards. It's an overrated, overhyped team that's been inflated to ridiculous proportions by the media and a fan base with a good number of lemmings that lap up every word from said idiotic media and then deify half their players while believing that various people are the world's best, or the greatest thing beside Bradman, or the greatest thing in spite of Bradman, etc. It's a good team at best, with one or two world class match winning players, a few who could have been called that a few years ago in their pomp, and a few other softcocks with little ticker or guts. It's not invincible, and definitely capable of losing to other teams. Bangladesh were hungrier than us, Bangladesh were more focused, more intent on a win and seized initiative far more readily while we handed it away. Sri Lanka wanted to advance with points. Sri Lanka had gameplans, a real focus, a team structure and a method. India? Came into the series not knowing their first choice 12, let alone starting XI. Came in leaving one of their best players in recent times at home, because he lacks the reputation and marketability of others. You get what you deserve, No fixing here. The team's just not as good as you've deluded yourself to believe it is, and got what it deserved for a combination of poor planning, poor thinking and complacency. Well played Sri Lanka; well played Bangladesh, and best of luck to both in the next round. (May you both of course NOT beat Australia or NZ :D)

over a period of 1 year, we consistently beat them 9 games to 2.... tht in any "neutral's" book is thrashing... and one game, wen it is all or nothing, we blink like deers caught in headlights....

so wat, if they were in india..... odi tracks in india does not offer advantage to any specific side.... they are flat tracks and they assist all batters... this is not an exam, that u prepare well for a month, u will fare well....

Re: Was India "fixed" out of the WC? 9 to 2 is misleading. Vaas and murali didn't play the last series. And we were on a high during the 6-1 series win. Since then we lost in WI 1-4, SA 0-4, Malaysia, ICCCT. If you think this was fixed cause our team simply doesn't know how to lose it fairly on the field, you must conclude that all those matches were also fixed.
