fineleg
Has Dhawal Kulkarni reached NZ shores? Can he be drafted in remaining two ODIs in squad in place of useless Munaf Patel? and IKP needs to be replaced with Abhisek Nayar (but the latter is too late since ODI series ending and he is faar away in India)...but if Kulkarni is already in NZ - then he should be brought into ODI squad. If Ishant is fit, he'll probably play ODI 4 and 5. But, if not, we need someone other than IKP and Munna bhai (IKP >>>> Munna bhai) Also for Tests - I dont think this attitude of Munna bhai will help us. We need to get someone else - even praveen kumar with his lack of old ball skill, but better attitude may be better than Munna. Is RP Singh or dancing donkey Sreesanth fit? Even they will be better than Daadaji. Link to comment

King
The ground was small, pitch was a belter and there wasn't much in it for a bowler. I would spare Munaf criticism in the context of this game. You can't chop and change players every game. Link to comment
Show_stopper
Yeah i think i have seen enough of him.Just too much "on and off" kind of bowler. And he is not particularly a match winner even when he is "on". Link to comment

Even they will be better than Daadaji. Okay, I've calmed down now... The best way to look upon ODI and Test cricket in the modern game is one of two completely different games to be treated in isolation. Munaf has bowled at 140kph in the Test series against Pakistan in 2007 (his last Test series) and although he has not taken more than one Test wicket in an innings for a while now, these conditions should suit his 'seam' bowling style. Kulkarni was only ever taken on this tour for experience and so if India choose to go in with three pacer, not Munaf, strategy, then it will be Balaji who will take the role of third pace bowler. This being said, a five wicket haul for Kulkarni when he plays his domestic game may change this. RP Singh is barely fit and he keeps breaking down and so has not proved his fitness. Sreesanth has not played a match for a while and I suspect he is unfit. Link to comment

Dhondy
Let Munaf remain in the squad as a passenger as a memento to the monumental folly of selectors. Choosing a brainless, unskilled labourer as a Test bowler ahead of a prodigy, albeit mercurial, such as Sreesanth, quite clearly shows that while one half of the chairman of selector's brain is actively championing his unworthy statemates, the other half has taken leave of all sense.
