South has more humid climate- most dishes are made using coconut oil + you have rawa idly, dhahi vada, masala dosa, parota saagu. More people are veggie than in the north. North has more dry climate and can get seriously hot in summer- most dishes made using mughlai cuisine. I love both personally although I did spend more time in the south.

Looks like you spent more time in Kerala. In other SI states as far as I know they don't use coconut oil. I just hate the smell of coconut oil. Once my friend got banana chips, I loved the taste but for the smell and after taste of that coconut oil. Talking about SI cuisine you can't ignore the hyderabadi cuisine,its a mixture of mughlai/persian cuisine. You get the world's best chicken biryani at Hyderabad.:icflove:

Dude you are talking like a South Indian.:icflove: But the truth is there is North,South,East,West and Central India. Mumbai comes under West India.

If one comes to US, they get their whole extended famiy including mamas and chachas. Canada/UK has a lot of Punjabis, with a similar immigration sentiment. I have never seen many older SIans settled down here with their sons/daughters. How did you come to this conclusion?

Here, the Gujjus congregate at Leicester, but don't have a high profile elsewhere. Maybe I should have singled out the Keralites, who immigrate almost on impulse.

I am glad you didn't try that hyderabadi biryani at some Bangalore restaurant. Authentic hyderabadi biryani has to be tried at only authentic hyderabadi restaurant.Even in Hyderabad there are only about 3-4 restaurants that has good hyderabadi biryani.:two_thumbs_up: My mom makes awesome hyderabadi biryani too. I miss it.:((

Oi Hassan, shouldn't you be studying Physiology or something?:--D About your query, I only said North Indians are better at Medicine than Maths, didn't say they were better at Medicine than South Indians. About certain women I praised above, there is one slight blemish I was trying not to mention, and do apologise for being so indiscreet- the unfortunate excess of body hair. Hairy legs can be a bit of a shock to admirers.

In north India, you will find huge differences between Bengalies and Biharis and Rajastanies. So if you draw a line anywhere dividing India into two, you will find huge differences between people on each side.
