I may be all alone but I can't see anything wrong with what Ponting did. It is in his interest that Kallis is kept in his nervous 90s longer where there is (theoretically) a better chance that he would do something stupid. Looks perfectly tactics to me.

Did you ever see anyone arguing about a leg bye before? It's not about whether he has the rules on his side or not, it's just low class.

I hope Pwnting does not become the highest centurian - more duck outs for Pwnting :two_thumbs_up:

The question is when are his antics on the field going to be actioned upon by the ICC. His consistent vulgar behaviour on the field never gets clamped down on. He should be actioned upon for consistent unsportsmanlike conduct

Its one thing being competitive' date=' which is perfectly fine, but another thing being downright silly and childish.[/quote'] But it's ok for you, MM, and most of the others in this thread ??

I thought I was the only one to notice this...apparently not...this kind of behaviour is what turns me of the Aussie team: http://www.theage.com.au/news/sport/cricket/proteas-feast-on-mcgains-bowling/2009/03/20/1237526372174.html

Earlier in the day Prince blocked the ball to his feet. Australian players circled, squawking at him like birds over the rotting shark heads around the corner at Fish Hoek. Prince was told in no uncertain terms to leave the ball alone. He immediately picked it up, spoiling for a fight. Ricky Ponting and Brad Haddin were especially keen to voice their disapproval but Prince stuck out his chest and made a century, slowly but surely batting Australia out of the third Test at Newlands.

It doesn't matter. He's a bully against weaker bowling attacks.

Oh btw, can someone ask "The Age" how the bleep can they refer to someone like Ashwell Prince as a "controversial 31-year-old" :finger: A few more funny parts-

Siddle has been harangued by crowds and sledged by newspapers here, but every Test he silences them. When he took a screaming one-handed catch to place Australia back in the hunt, albeit briefly, the crowd fell stone quiet....... Amla had stumbled around as if blindfolded, unable to find the middle of his bat.
Look whose whining about sledging... an Australian newspaper :hysterical:
