THX_1138 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 A Single inconsiderate word against the New Zealand Cricket Team. The Kiwis have been exceptional hosts. Very polite, very sportsmanlike and true professionals! They took the losses like men, and they handled their victory with humility. There has not bee much of an uproar with regards to the catch, certainly nothing along the lines of Ponting and Clarkegate... but of course, the circumstances are different. Finally, OBrien's blog is entertaining and quite honest. And Bucullumn reminds me of King Leonidas... the lone man faced with an uphill task...
ludhianvi Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 They are perhaps lacking the passion and intensity. The Kiwis fast bowlers show very little emotion and seem lost at times.
THX_1138 Posted March 21, 2009 Author Posted March 21, 2009 They are perhaps lacking the passion and intensity. The Kiwis fast bowlers show very little emotion and seem lost at times. actually that is probably what is robing this series of some competition. the Kiwi are so subjugated in their approach that it seems that they have resigned to their fate prior to the start of the game...
flamy Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Honestly this tour is like a game between the landlords and the help.
Rajiv Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Cricket for them is not as intense and passionate. We, Indians would jump of a roof for a bad decision, imagine if it was some kiwi player and Sehwag caught with that almost bump ball I think kiwis have been fantastic as they know their strengths and were expecting India's A game, and have rolled out their comments diplomatically So yes, kudos to them and so far no scandal...which we somehow manage to acquire everywhere
Donny Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Would also be nice, respectful, sportsmanlike and polite for people to refer to them by their correct team name. They are not Kiwis.
Desi Cartman Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Would also be nice, respectful, sportsmanlike and polite for people to refer to them by their correct team name. They are not Kiwis. :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
DomainK Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Would also be nice, respectful, sportsmanlike and polite for people to refer to them by their correct team name. They are not Kiwis. But is kiwis an insult? It certainly does not mean any disrespect.

Donny Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 But is kiwis an insult? It certainly does not mean any disrespect. I didn't say it was an insult. It is simply not the name they have chosen for their team.
flamy Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 I didn't say it was an insult. It is simply not the name they have chosen for their team. We didn't choose Rockstars either.
Donny Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Whoever 'we' are, I haven't heard any national cricket team being called that.
Desi Cartman Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiwi_(people) Kiwi is the nickname used internationally for people from New Zealand, as well as being a relatively common self-reference. The name derives from the kiwi, a flightless bird which is native to, and the national symbol of, New Zealand.[1] Now please STFU
Donny Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 That isn't in dispute. However, the NZ cricket team is called The Black Caps.
