VVS Laxman is OUT chasing a Wide delivery outside off stump :dontknow: Somehow we are pre-determined to play deliveries wider outside offstump. In previous Tests also few of our Indian wickets fell chasing wide ones.

The other team is also trying to win this test so yes we will loose wickets :banghead: IMO as we as get to 300 we r pretty safe

Holly Man... seriously Cut this... why didnt u make a thread when Gambhir got out playing defensively..he could easily have played that ball but he made that defensive mindset and was gone LBW... Sachin knew that this surface is good to play where an odd ball will swing here... so rather than playing tuk-tuk and made a sweet 62.. Dravid got out out on a no-ball where he just poked defensivly at that ball...

Agreed with the Sachin part but Dravid's playing style and role is different. For the 9420th time in his career, he's the only top order batsman left after we've lost half the team for a paltry total on a wicket thats aiding the bowling oh-so-much.

desi, other team did not earn all wkts, 2 of the best SRT and VVS were 'gifted' to them. Very loose shots. only GG and Yuvi were good balls. Viru is Viru.

The usual crap. That was not a loose shot by SRT, he played similar shots even in this innings. He was playing positively and by your expectation he just can never get out. Please feel free to thrash him.

He looked set for 100 in every damn innings he's played in this series. He looked set for 100s in 80% of the innings during the 90s. And your point is?

This hundred would've been really special. Anyways, I do agree with fineleg that its another opportunity gone begging. One small lapse. It was a little too close to the body to play that backfoot punch I thought - or because his foot didn't move back enough, he got cramped. Dunno but his and Sehwag's dismissals were to rather similar deliveries.

Gifting wickets to bowlers is frustrating - commentators were saying he himself will be very frustrated with himself for attempting such a shot to that delivery. But there is always an inherent risk with playing positively. That's just cricket.

I agreed with fineleg for a change because he/she/it praised Sachin by saying he played "wow shots".

He's been playing those "wow" shots for 20 years and you might've seen what went on here not too long ago. Usually when someone gets out, it looks really foolish and most of the times there's some misjudgment and/or mistiming.

Oh that's just a backhanded compliment by it. He's been playing those "wow" shots for 20 years and you might've seen what went on here not too long ago. Usually when someone gets out, it looks really foolish and most of the times there's some misjudgment and/or mistiming.

Well, there are these people called bowlers who come running in with the ball, who can also induce a mistake. :P But yeah, agreed.

None of his previous boundaries were airy-fairy kinda shots. Still, its not like he made a criminal mistake or something. He probably trusted the pitch too much.

Really? What exactly was so airy-fairy about that shot. The only mistake SRT made was the ball was a bit too close to his body and then it bounced a bit more than he expected. He played the exact same shot before too.
