Deleted_User_1
Given the situation, when he was hitting some shots especially against Patel I was telling myself that he was being a bit too careless for the situation. It was a lazy dab at a innocuous delivery. Now all three Sehwag, Gambhir and SRT got out playing lousy shots. Dravid and him needed to fire big and now it seems they will be bundled out under 400 or even less. Link to comment
fineleg
Look, they have to save the Test somehow. The rest of the batsmen need to step up in the 1st Inn, and the guys who played poor shots have to more than doubly make up for it in 2nd Inn. If they dont win the Test series in NZ, then its a big waste of opportunity. It'll be really ridiculous - these are reasonable conditions for batting, and batting and scoring big runs are supposedly our superstar cricketers' speciality! Link to comment
satishg
he got out defending lol :nice: lol :D Link to comment
Shehezaada
he got out defending lol not really, that was more of a lazy poke. Tendulkar was half pushing half defending Link to comment

cochise
The man is not perfect...give him a break. He can't carry the load for the team everytime...someone else also has to step up. Link to comment
Anakin
No, it was just a lazy shot. He didn't play too aggressively Link to comment

He can't carry the load for the team everytime...someone else also has to step up. hey cochise, don't bring common sense into this. after all SRT should have been more cautious - instead of just trying to defend he should have just left it alone and tried one of the Manjrekar variations of padding up to a ball. and even those fours and that six he hit, he should have just watched legends like Chris Tavare and taken the buddha approach to batting. (btw, did you get my email with that '85 rendition of Sultans?) Link to comment

ViruRulez
yes the Master should have played more cautiously today but we should not blame him.. we cannot expect than he hits 150 in every match .. somebody else also needs to step up to the occassion Let the young players also understand tests ... except Viru who performs occassionally none of the other young players seem to perform well in tests .. let GG, Yuvi etc. also perform now Link to comment
HouMac
Sachin played fine. That was simply a lazy/nervous sort of shot(not an overaggressive shot)...typical of him when he's near a milestone. But his overall approach to the innings was fine. Pity it had to end so early. He looked primed for a huge one. Link to comment

graphic23
He's a selfish guy. He can't play uncautiously. He should've just blocked for a while. What was the need to go for singles at such a crucial time? He had 14 runs off Jeetan Patel's previous over (who by the way is so awesome now - they really missed him in the previous match and in the ODIs and T20s and the matches in Australia before that). So what if he has experience of 150 test matches? Its useless when he can't use it - like today. Pathetic losers this bunch. Link to comment
fineleg
dandaroy, You should create a thread for "Should sehwag have played more cautiously in 2nd Innings"? Answer will be Yes, Yes, Yes. End of day-3, getting to the end of the day and he throws his wicket away in most reckless fashion. Link to comment

Blind worshippers going orgasmic over Sachin drives and cover shots.. time he gets out, Sachin is Selfish... and mind you, he got out playing defensive shot Link to comment
