Sehwag Gambhir Rohit sharma / any new star batsman of IPL 2 Yuvraj Raina Dhoni Yusuf Pathan Irfan Pathan Harbhajan Singh Zaheer Khan Praveen Kumar/ any new star bowler of IPL 2
Ok as I have seen the performance of most players and the 15 member squad has also been announced so I will like mention the best final 11 for the t20 world cup Sehwag Gambhir Rohit sharma Yuvraj Raina Dhoni Yusuf Pathan Irfan Pathan/Praveen Kumar Harbhajan Singh Zaheer Khan R P Singh This lineup will give us batting upto no. 10 batsman as even Zak can bat if needed while Bhajji and IKP/PK bats quite well. This lineup will also give us a lot of bowling options as there would be four specialist bowlers in R P Singh, Zak, Bhajji and IKP/PK .. then there are a lot of other bowling options like Sehwag, Yuvi, Raina, YKP and Rohit Sharma. This is the deadly combination for sure and the team lineup I have mentioned is the best one for sure.

nah one allrounder is a must.with all the swing around' date='irfan should do well.as for Rohit, he can only play at 3 or 4 n both places are taken.n anyway there is no point playing 7 specialist batsmen in T20[/quote']
Yusuf is an all-rounder but i see your point about Rohit's position in the Indian national side.I think he should come in @4 if he selected in the team.others can come in and immediately start hitting shots but Rohit cannot.
yusuf is a batsman.yes he bowls spin' date='but sehwag n yuvraj do that too.yusuf cant be relied on to bowl full 4 overs[/quote'] BTW why are we worried about all rounders and bowling options when we have 9 bowling options in the team :hmmmm: even Rohit Sharma, Raina and YKP have bowled brilliantly in the IPL and I do not understand why wont they click in t20 WC .. they are bowling exceptionally well against world class players in IPL and why wont they click in WC T20 And anyways 4 full time bowlers and 5 all rounders cannot fail at the same time .. dont worry about bowling because all the all rounders will also get a lot of bowling practise in all the IPL games and wont be rusty within less than two weeks when they participate in t20 WC

Gambhir Sehwag Rohit Raina (6) Yuvraj Dhoni Yusuf (5) Harbajan/Ohja (4) Praveen K (2) Zaheer (3) RPS (1) No Irfan'run gutter'Pathan - I would rather have a proper bowler than this cr@p If this top 7 cant last 20 overs, they might as well lose it

I wouldnt want this guy bowling when the opp needs 60 runs from 6 overs - he will make it 40 runs from 5 overs easily and one more over, he will win the match for the opponents

last night everone was getting tonked but irfan mananged an econ of under 10 with last two overs at death conceding 18 runs,is that what u r complaining about? irfan is a match winner,a good allrounder n he should also enjoy the swing in england.so reason to leave him out

I agree... Irfan is getting a lot of his swing back in the IPL .. I wont say he is the Irfan which we say when he first came into the Indian team bowling at a faster pace and with great swing but he is better than the IKP we have seen for the past year or so .. and one good aspect is that he has improved his batting significantly ... he can strike the ball cleanly nowadays at least in t20 .. both PK and IKP should be kept in the third bowlers slot and given chances .. whoever performs better need to play in the actual playing 11 .. regarding getting tonked almost all bowlers have been tonked in the IPL including PK, IKP, Ishant, Zak etc. though PK and IKP has been tonked more than the other two

^^^ pathan is a type of bowler who depends on swing more than pace but if hes unable to swing he will be whacked everywhere :whack: :whack: so its quite intresting whether he will make the cut in the final 11 or not
thats why it is IKP/PK .. both should be given chances... whoever performs better in the conditions should be kept

both rely on swing n will be whacked in absence of swing.but Irfan can bat better is also capable of bowling yorkers at death.plus hes more experienced. but i think there will be some swing n both should play.in absence of swing.i would prefer Irfan over PK

In T20, pace is not that important, rather accuracy and variations are. Balaji is a prime example and Flintoff was not, in this IPL If Crapthan can get these traits back with whatever swing england can give, then it would aid the team else..he is a big liability and in close matches, one over of him can finish it I would rather prefer a specialist bowler than this mediocre allrounder. Any side with good bowling unit does very well in T20

MS Dhoni (captain) Virender Sehwag Gautam Gambhir Suresh Raina Yuvraj Singh Yusuf Pathan Rohit Sharma Ravindra Jadeja Irfan Pathan R P Singh Pragyan Ojha This would be my ideal 11. No Z Khan, not enough match practice, No Ishant, not good enough for T20 Two swing bowlers in Pathan/Singh Four spin options to take the pace off the ball And a side that is PACKED full of batting and big hitters.
