ananthd Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Nadal still a big favorite for the FO...... I wouldn't take this Madrid result too seriously other than a confidence boost for RF..... Rolland Garros is a far slower court and the altitude is normal(unlike the thin air of Madrid).... Also if Djokovic is in Federer's half of the draw, watch out, he's far more dangerous I believe than Federer at this point on clay....

Lets hope our Indians can do a good job here.. Forget it dude. Fedrer managed to win because Nadal was fatigued out after his game against Djokovich. Nadal AND Djokovich are both better clay court players than Federer.
Sooda Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Nadal was tired but also the Madrid courts are quicker than Rolland G will be hence why Rafa struggled vs Djoko and vs Fed. That was the main reason why Fed beat Rafa, that and the fact that Fed was serving well for the first time in eons Nadal will be back and win the FO if he is fit, the courts there are far more suited to him. Im not sure abt Novak being better than Fed on clay.
