In the post-game interview, he said that they had come up with this new strategy where Kobe will be the decoy and draw all the Nugget defenders toward him, creating some open space for his team-mates to score. And thats exactly what happened. Odom turned in a series-best 19 point performance, Fisher had 12, Gasol had 12 and Bynum had 9. To me, the difference in this match was the lack of offensive plays by Billups. It was very fortunate for the Lakers that he got into foul trouble early in the first quarter. Anthony is definitely nursing some sort of injury which is inhibiting him. Overall, a clinical performance by the Lakers, hopefully they can finish it in game 6. that's why he was awesome last night sriram. The greatest players know how to win. Played in the same backcourt with Jordan for 5 years and was the benefieciary of a LOT of passes when he was doubled. Kobe's taking full advantage of it now. That's why he was awesome last night. I have a feeling Nuggets will take Game 6 :P

Ram Posted May 29, 2009 Author Posted May 29, 2009 Didnt get to see yesterday's match, but by the looks of it, James turned in another MVP performance (triple double) to keep the Cavs in the hunt. Mo Williams helped him out with 24 points.

Pietrus vs Kobe will be interesting, and Howard will take out Bynum. It'll be Lewis on Gasol, Torkouglu on Ariza or switch with Lewis...should be an interesting series. Keep in mind Magic were 2-0 vs Lakers this season.

cowboysfan Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 if the Magic keep hittting their 3s then can can cause real trouble for the lakers.IMo the key for the lakers is limiting Superman.take away his offensive boards,go after him-make him foul you and get him in foul trouble early.this will make the Magic a one-dimensional jumpshooting team which will heavily favor the lakers.
