Done! No - ducks (10pts) and golden ducks (25pts) only - i.e. batsman must be out. if a batsman is run-out without facing a ball that shall count as 10pts.

Folks, the site is fully updated, and we have a clear winner of the T20 WC SPREADBET LEAGUE. Big well done to SHANE who walks away with Steve Waugh's West Indies '95 Tour Diary courtesy of THE OUTSIDER. In a tournament where India and Australia crashed out early, and Pakistan won, it's no surprise that Goose, chief market-maker, racked up a whopping $73,319,000 ! However, I believe this should be distributed amongst the players. There's a few different ways we could do this and I'd like to hear your thoughts. I suggest we use Goose winnings to mitigate the losses of those players in the red in direct proportion to the size of the loss. It's tempting to reward the likes of OUTSIDER, who did mighty well given the sheer volume of bets he placed. Other players that placed comparable bet volumes e.g. KARTEEKMVS, LORD, and DINAKKAR are all languishing at the bottom of the table showing just how hard it is to get it right if you over-trade. However, it's wrong to penalize those that adopt an approach of selective betting, waiting patiently for a few choice trades - a tactic adopted by SHANE who's single focus was to win. ARNDP and BUNNY achieved 2nd and 3rd spot with just a handful of bets. You might say ARNDP in particular just got lucky, but hey, nothing wrong with that ! Hope you all enjoyed this edition of the Spreadbet League !

Thanks goose - the amount of time and effort that you spent on this was something commendable! It was a lot of fun too! Hopefully, we can bribe ludh and varun to some up with an automated spread betting module. :giggle: Shane, PM me your address and I'll have your copy of Waugh's tour diary delivered by one of the admins to your home. Spoke with Waugh, but he said he won't be able to make it.

Thanx Goosey, as i said in the last edition of the Spreadbet League, its an excellent addition to ICF and thanx a ton for the efforts you've put in, i hope in future with the help of a few geniuses around here, we could automate the calculations, to make things easier for yourself. I hope a lot more members join in future Tournaments. And Yeah!!! I won !!!
