it would be aaaaaaaaaaawesome if we could "bat" with the Wii remote if it comes out on the Wii :woot:
How exactly would you bowl with Wii remote? :giggle:

It wouldn't be that bad right? You'd do the bowling action with the remote in hand, and not let go of the remote at the end of your action.

you can pre-select your deliveries, and just "bowl" when the bowler approaches the crease. the harder you swing your arm, the faster the ball....but obviously some sort of marker will be there to determine accuracy. same with batting, you just do the swinging. i think the direction will be hard to do with remote

Wii is not that accurate. Maybe the new addendum motion plus is, but the Wii remote is not. It cannot detect direction very well or the angle you are holding the bat but it is something that nintendo is claiming that the motion plus can do. But i would wait till i get my hands on experience cos i dont believe Nintendo as they said that this could be done when they first released their remote. Anyway, pure 1:1 cricket game might be realized with MS's Natal on the 360 or Sony's motion control on the PS3 but that could take a couple of more years and only if some company wishes to make cricket games after they see this flop.

yes, that's why i meant it would be hard to implement direction with the Wii remote. So, all you would do is swing like you're actually hitting it. The Wii remote can detect speed, and you can press a direction button as you swing :dontknow: i think that would not be very hard to implement. in fact, i would be very surprised if that was NOT implemented in the Wii version of the game.

Yeah its confirmed no wiimotion plus. It won't be that good on Wii. I'll get it on the PS3, and hopefully its 1:1 motion controller will be out soon and the next cricket game will make use of it.

Codemaster now makes cricket games with ip vased option. So I am hoping this one would also have ip based privlage. And Shane. We can always download patches to fix players name. They release such patches in cricket planet website.

PC version in India will cost around Rs.500. PS3 and X360 versions around Rs. 2400. Good prices, imo. Any buyers here that intend to play the game, please buy original. Not only will you get to experience the online mode (first time ever in a cricket game), good sales will encourage EA Sports to bring out their cricket game as well.

Can anyone tell me if cricket games work on laptops? (in america)
Depends on the laptop now, the specifications in it. But they have said the game won't be hard to run on PC's, so if you bought your laptop this or last year it should work at least in low-medium settings.
