As you can see India largely depends on Gambhir and Yuvraj. Others chip in. But not very consistent. I think it is time to rethink our strategy about setting targets. gs
Yuvraj is the kingpin in T20 - no debate there! With Gambhir, he's more of a loyal sidekick than a main star like Sehwag. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
India has crossed 170 just thrice. Once against Bangladesh. Dhoni still believes batting first is the best option. I forgot to add the filter. Now i have added. Dhoni's strike rate while batting first is below 100. Link to comment
cowboysfan
we should NOT bat first at all if we win the toss against england.setting targets is very tricky and now we have to bring our NRR back up.I would bowl first and restrict england and knock off the target as quickly as possible-ofcourse this is the common sense thing to do so i expect the opposite. King
India needs to get over "Fear of failure" and the pressure to win when batting first. That is when they can play their 'A' game. If the top order gets off to a good start, expect India to do the unimaginable. On the other hand if a few wickets fall at the top expect them to falter. Link to comment
bharat297
An interesting thing to note is that there is only one batsman there with a SR < 100 Link to comment
Watson87
It's quite shocking to see Dhoni's strike rate under 100, I thought he would have been the most destructive batsman in our line up after Yuvi. Man Dhoni must fire tomorrow Link to comment
