In Headingly, India did exactly that. India did that to put pressure on England by making a huge 1st innings score. But here, the pitch eased out much faster and a huge total wasnt really needed against Pak with Aus bowling line up. Link to comment
Sooda Posted January 6, 2010 Share Posted January 6, 2010 Not to mention the fact that they were facing Asif in these conditions whilst we had to deal with Hoggard and Caddick, who are ok- certainly were a handy lot then- but nothing more Moreover we had the holy trinity. Its ok to bat first on a wicket like this when its Langer and Hayden opening, but not a make shift allrounder and another guy in his 5th test or something. Link to comment
