King Tendulkar Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 The oval game is a one off. ITS A CUP FINAL. The future means nothing here, its only the present that counts! Should he be selected. His First Class form is Bradman like for quite a few years now. Its his home ground as well. Whats there to lose? Surely will score more then Bopara, Bell or Cook. I say pick him.
Ram Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Looks like the selectors will pick Ramprakash after all. Either way, its almost certain that Australia will a)win the final test or b) draw it. If the selectors pick Ramps in the side, they could at least say ‘See, we tried everything but failed.. it isn’t our fault..’. But if they don’t pick him and England loses, they’ll come under a LOT of fire and will be made scapegoats for what is essentially a team issue.
Sooda Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Scored a ton versus McWarne Gillespie and Lee the last time he played Aus. Strauss, Key, Cook, Ramps, Collingwood, Fred, Prior,Broad, Swann, Anderson, Sidebottom THAT should be the Eng 11
diegovegaz Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 mark should be picked their middle order is inexperienced
punjabi_khota Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Rampymple not picked after all. Trott almost a certainty.
Jai Ho Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 absolutely!!!! he indian deep down inside :cantstop:
Ram Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Looks like all the madness has tempered down finally and the selectors will stick with the squad for the previous test.
