Sachinism Posted August 24, 2009 Share Posted August 24, 2009 November 26th, 2008 · 1 Comment Future Consumer Products Ltd– a Kishore Biyani-led Future Group company– which is partly owned by cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar, is planning to launch a couple of consumer products within a fortnight. These product will be launched under ‘Sach’ brand. Sachin Tendulkar, who is a Director on the Board of Directors of this company, is co-creater of the brand and has major say in decision making process of the company. “We are bringing out hand wash and shower gel under the brand ‘Sach’ in another two weeks time. Our earlier products are doing very well,” said Shashi Kala Sen, CEO, Future Consumer Products Limited. The company is looking at introducing a few more consumer brands in the coming months and is expecting to garner sales of Rs 30 crore from the brand during the remaining period of Financial Year ending 30th June, 2009. ‘Sach’ brand launched about four months ago as an apparel brand is already a number of consumer products including tetra-pack milk products and kids apparel. ‘Sach’ brand products, sold through group’s retail chains like Pantaloons and Big Bazaar, are not for mass distribution. They would continued to be sold through group chains. Kishore Biyani, CEO of the group, has recently unveiled a plan to focus on creation and development of private consumer brands. He has set aside Rs 200 crore every year for three years to develop and promote these brands. He is betting big on their impact both on the topline and bottomline of the group. Biyani has targetted Rs 30,000 crore in group’s retail revenues by December 2011.
