youngindia
The selection committe should show some imagination frankly what's their point bringing in people from the dead? the fielding look as abysmal as ever in a long long time. nehra is a relic and he is not a world beating bowler either.there is no point relying on him. he and rp singh have to be dropped.the bowling really looks pedestrian once the wickets are not helpful. right fromthe windies series, the signals were there. the bowling looks to be the weak link going into champions trophy where they may get some wickets to hide their deficiences but a top notch batsman will open up the wounds. also tendulkar and dravid batting together is not suited for high scoring games.they are sober and conservative.have lost the dynamism of the years gone past.one of the younger fearless players shuld be batting with them to take the risks. they can be the anchormen playing the long knocks. the strikers of the ball have to bat around them but two old players batting togther may not serve the cause unless 250 on a wicket is enough. also bringback uthappa as soon as possible. he has finished his sophomore slump whereas kohli has a long way to go and has little to offer the team now.. rayudu, vijay ,tiwary all need to be in the picture as well. Sachinism
Have you been watching Tendulkar bat lately? Dravid is doing his role in anchoring the innings, but if players around him are unable to score, is that his fault, he is playing to his role. Yesterday we saw Dravid go after Dilshan, something that is very unlike Dravid because the scoring rate needed to be picked up. We lost the match yesterday because of ordinary bowling and fielding. Matthews was too good for the batsmen for some reason. Link to comment

Mr. Wicket
Yes! We need more imaginative hard hitting players like Manish Pandey. Manish Pandey!!! Remember his brilliant century in the IPL? So many big hits and great cowlashes, so much innovation that SRT and the eternally slow Drawid are not capable of. We need more people like him! Pick Uthappa so we have players who can consistently innovate with paddle sweeps for sixes on tracks where Tendulkar and Dravid will just take singles. And M Vijay scores his 20s and 30s at a much faster pace than Dravid. And of course Manish Pandey!!! Link to comment

Mr. Wicket
I am not bashing him! Nobody bashes Manish Pandey - Manish does all the bashing (and cowlashing)! I am supporting his selection as we need fewer sober and conservative players like Drawid and Tendulkar (pls see op) and more exciting and dynamic guyz like Pandey and Uthappa and Cowlasher Choudhury! youngindia
Yes! We need more imaginative hard hitting players like Manish Pandey.!!! my views are being totally misrepresented by misleading(though sarcastic) posts like this. i said the seniors can play anchromen but at different phases, not together. Like the 2003 wc vs pakistan when tendulkar commanded the initial phase, dravid saw thru the finish. the explosiveness have to be provided by strikers of the ball. usually sehwag and yuvraj, in absence of sehwag? uthappa is capable of playing the same role. uthappa is a gifted striker of the ball and in the shorter forms, the selectors will be foolish to over look him. Mr. Wicket
Pick him! How many balls did he take to score his 100? How many did SRT take to score his? I'm sure the dynamic and exciting Manish took less!! Pick Manish Pandey!!! Link to comment
