Anyway Both are great :two_thumbs_up:
youngindia Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 flash back to 2003 WC FInal... Run a reel of that and find the answer. yes.but he was up against bowlers over whom he had overwhelming superiority. he didn't have to face his own attack. and two 100's of 39 inns is not a great return.
youngindia Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 difference may be minute.... but still there is a difference... Anyway Both are great :two_thumbs_up: these things do not mean anything except as a reference considering the nature of this sport. ponting has been down the last few years .so let's see where he ends up at. there was a time when gilchrist w as averaging 60 . In an indivdual sport like tennis, federer can demonstrate his superiority acorss the court.he can prevent inferior players from winning grand slams. sachin and lara cannot prevent ponting from scoring at the expense of opposition bowlers. however their games are clearly superior to ponting and he is not in their league.

Another bad try in coming up with another excuse trying to undermine his quality... Go on keep coming with silly points ....U will only stay in ur own world.. Start opening your eyes and start to appreciate genuiness kid

newmanthepunter Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 why dont u follow ur own advice when have i said that srt aint a good batsman?
youngindia Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Another bad try in coming up with another excuse trying to undermine his quality... Go on keep coming with silly points ....U will only stay in ur own world.. Start opening your eyes and start to appreciate genuiness kid you stay in a virtual world and want far more knoweldgeable people to come away from the real world? there is no element of genius in ponting's game, buffoon. only an idiot would call ponting a genius.
youngindia Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 VOW..... Wud u have said the same if sachin averaged better than ponting??????? absolutely. "eye for quality" means you recognise the best product and can discern diffrences between great, good and average. the quality of a player's game is the primary factor in any sport.
Anakin Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Home track bully, yes that's the great punter for you and even then he started bullying poor bowlers around when the bowling quality dipped well below what it used to be. Good on him.

newmanthepunter Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I dont wanna really participate in this srt vs punter debate.... As punter fans we always belive that he is da best... If u guys are discussing abt punter vs srt so often i have reason to belive that u guys are too scared that punter is closin in on sachin's record... I as an indian fan i have ma respect to srt but i will pray that punter will overtake him soon in tests
