Mate temperament is the thing that made me to notice this 19 year lad! As Our Cap MSD said, "he rose to the Occasion tremondously" Wish him all the very best! & One more thing guyz, Kamran seems to be morally boosted by his bro's presence and play!

let him play a year of internatl cricket,and bowlers will find flaws in his batting and exploit if he cn still score runs then we will see his temperament ppl like yaseer hammed,farhat,asim kamal,taufeeq umar came and went.........so letz see what this gy can do

His temperamant is just exciting, Pakistanis were about to bundle out like they do many times, but this lad had reinforced the batting lune up. THough its WI-2 he is the only lad, who took up the challenge! Good work Akmal! :)

Ever since I followed him against Australia A and found him smashing good bowlers like Bollinger and Kretza in the FC match and Tait too in the List A, I had kept an eye on him. In Lanka he played well but I was not that overwhelmingly impressed, maybe because the conditions were such there. But if he did well at relatively quicker Wanderers, even if it was against the lowly WI, then it is quite commendable. Here are the matches where he scored tons in Australia: 1st unofficial test 2nd unofficial test 1st List A I think the world cricket should be happy that it has olmost found a talented batsman. Too many sloggers had cropped up everywhere and even ODIs were getting ruined because of this. I think one should let the batsman play freely instead ogf pressurizing him by calling him next Sachin or what not. Let him play first.

what a temperament this lad has shown... it would be tough for our side to beat PAK, as its literally handicapped wihout UV, VIRU & ZAHEER, whereas Younis Khan is returning fit for their side!! but i still believe MS Presence alone will win the match! Raina should take a big step forward & rise to the occassion! India Rocks! :cool::pray:

Hi All, How do you feel about this young lad, brother of Kamran Akmal. Seems to be very promising aspect for Pakistan, with his consistency! though a long way to go for him!
too early to comment ..but ya we will get to know more of him in Champions Trophy

I'm not too convinced about his technique...its too similar to his elder brother's. But so far he has more than succeeded in overcoming it. But surpass Sachin Tendulkar???? You have to be kidding me!!!
