Baaharwale gyaani baba, You have to doubt the veracity of the " all time XI" realized only after the great mans death. It was realised by " his office". Any all time XI that doesn't include Gavaskar as an opener - and neither of Warne or Murali in the XI has got to be suspicious. Whats more ridiculous is the fact that wicket keeper chosen is neither of the overwhelmingly all time great WKs ( Allan Knott or AC Gilchrist) but some unknown nondescript called " Don Tallon" . LOL.:hysterical: Sunny infact raised serious doubts about this, " Bradman XI" (LOL..)I clearly remember. He won't "retire" from ODIS - not even to preserve himself for the WC or Test matches. For if he does that he'll be in trouble with sponsors who sign 5 year endorsements with him - most of which are based on his ODI appearances.

The cricket boards don't care for your sponsors. If you are not in form or not fit enough to compete, you have to be benched. Ponting recently missed out of a few games right after OZ series against RSA because he was unfit and also needed rest. Ponting is not god and neither is Sachin. Both are healthy had both have experienced various difficulties and injuries of some sort through out their careers. Sachin may be more than Ponting but this is something you can not prove, neither can I. 5 years contracts have nothing to do with your ability and chances of playing in an international side. Viv Richards scored only about 7000 ODI runs..but he did it at a blistering strike rate of 90 ..even in those days when 200-220 was a par score and at an average of 47 - when only a couple others averaged above 40. Then theres Michael Bevan - no highfy century count - but he won it for Australia under thje most tight circumstances, almost always . Avg of 55+ . Believe me quality, averages etc count more than records that pile up as a function of playing record number of games - Otherwise most of todays batsmen would be greater than Bradman. Sachin is a truely great batter - in every sense - but not as " Godly " and " great" that some people here portray him to be.

What about the threads that I create where..I just go on to praise another batsmen being the most prolific in a decade ( Ponting for exmaple ) ...and I am viciously attack and abused by the " fans".
