DomainK Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 I'd love to see poor patriot get put to shame again, but its bed time. Maybe he will finally have an answer for Shwetabh when I wake up. Nite all That's exactly what Patriot is looking for as well. He comes looking for pwnage when he does not get sleep.
Guest Hiten. Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Patriot what do you have to say about your demi-god Sanath and Murali's performance against SA today ? They are always found out whenever they play against the Zulu in Zulu land :hmmm:
zubinpepsi Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 This is our self-proclaimed Mr.Intelligent n Sensible Patriot.. jgZW-plc114
Anakin Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Patriot bhai take a bow. I've never seen a more stupid argument and that too this long. At least you can pursue something, no matter how fruitless that is.
The Outsider Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Deshbhakt bhai, you did not quote the amount Bradman earned in endorsements by praising Tendulkar?
Guest Hiten. Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Deshbhakt bhai' date=' you did not quote the amount Bradman earned in endorsements by praising Tendulkar?[/quote'] Come on, Prof. Its not about money every time :hitler: Maybe Bradman tried to flatter the Indians @ Cricinfo to bump his career average by 0.06 to make it a full Monty ? I wonder what stopped the Indians being floored over by the OVER THE TOP SRT praise from Bradman :hmmm:

I wonder what stopped the Indians being floored over by the OVER THE TOP SRT praise from Bradman :hmmm: LOL..someone is really going over the top with Bhakti..for one " His batting style is like mine" ..from someone who averaged a little less than double of him, and the small matter of the fact that there are 15 others who average more than your hero. " His style is like mine" ( fact ) and " He is the best after me " ( bhakt illusion ) :winky:
patriot Posted September 22, 2009 Author Posted September 22, 2009 Ever heard of Sunny ? Sobers ? Or King Viv ? or Everon Weekes ? ...heck "Pwnting" ? ...in records in terms of number of runs, tons and avg - "Pwnting" will " Pwn" your hero by the time he hangs his boots. And they both played 80 % of their cricket in the same era.

How much did he get in endorsements for this inclusion?
Anakin Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 In case you don't know Tendulkar was the only cricketer from the modern era in Bradman's all time XI, so he was at least better than your Richards, Muralis, Pontings, and Bevans(:hysterical:) in view of the greatest cricketer of all time. How much did he get in endorsements for this inclusion? Again, doesn't necessarily mean Bradman was saying SRT was the greatest cricketer of his time, again bhakt-illusion. I'll bet Bradman was making a practical joke. Now prove me wrong that he really did not do that.

Pwnting has claimed so many times that Sachin is the best batsman of his time. May be he lost it too....a little prematurely.

The Outsider Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Deshbhakt, sone chala gaya phir se - somehow I think he will be back with more gibberish soon though.
Rajiv Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Sevak, Bhakt - WTF is this Debate on Ramayan?
patriot Posted September 23, 2009 Author Posted September 23, 2009 In case you don't know Tendulkar was the only cricketer from the modern era in Bradman's all time XI, so he was at least better than your Richards, Muralis, Pontings, and Bevans(:hysterical:) in view of the greatest cricketer of all time. How much did he get in endorsements for this inclusion? Baaharwale gyaani baba, You have to doubt the veracity of the " all time XI" realized only after the great mans death. It was realised by " his office". Any all time XI that doesn't include Gavaskar as an opener - and neither of Warne or Murali in the XI has got to be suspicious. Whats more ridiculous is the fact that wicket keeper chosen is neither of the overwhelmingly all time great WKs ( Allan Knott or AC Gilchrist) but some unknown nondescript called " Don Tallon" . LOL.:hysterical: Sunny infact raised serious doubts about this, " Bradman XI" (LOL..)I clearly remember. Highly like Bradman's office thought that plugging in SRT ( who's style reminds Bradman of himself) who was the most marketable cricketer at the time of realize in a BIG country like India - would excite and enthrall the biggest cricket market. PS: I am not a moderator here that I am to devote such a long time here...and neither am I a Sachin sevak. I have got other things to do , babaji.
patriot Posted September 23, 2009 Author Posted September 23, 2009 Here we go... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/sports_talk/1488965.stm Sunil Gavaskar does not believe the Don would have made such controversial choices and has labelled the eleven elect as a sham. You are right Sunny..its all a marketing sham. The Aussies do know how to exploit what makes a majority Indians tick ( rightly or wrongly ).
Rajiv Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 See when you address others as sevaks etc, thats outright insult - every sport has it fans and your opinion starts of like a tease and even if you don't use curse words, you certainly invite lot of trouble People have their favorites, your number crunching won't change their mind nor its gonna affect any fan following. I mean whats this about? really, having the the last word or simply having fun trying to tackle everyone If you can't take the over-joyed threads about Sachin then simply don't read em
Jersey #10 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 He won't "retire" from ODIS - not even to preserve himself for the WC or Test matches. For if he does that he'll be in trouble with sponsors who sign 5 year endorsements with him - most of which are based on his ODI appearances. The cricket boards don't care for your sponsors. If you are not in form or not fit enough to compete, you have to be benched. Ponting recently missed out of a few games right after OZ series against RSA because he was unfit and also needed rest. Ponting is not god and neither is Sachin. Both are healthy had both have experienced various difficulties and injuries of some sort through out their careers. Sachin may be more than Ponting but this is something you can not prove, neither can I. 5 years contracts have nothing to do with your ability and chances of playing in an international side. Do you not think Ganguly had contracts? but when He had to retire, he did. Sponsors are like advertisements and their issues can be fixed through proper case and advocates on your side. Do you not think, Sehwag and Zak are under contract of some sort? but since they are injured, they are not allowed to play. Basically, you are just trying to use random words to convey your thoughts. Please refrain from making a fool out of your self. LOL.He's not " my" Pwnting. In any case - he will motor run your hero ' date=' with his sheer ability and fitness and that too at a better average.[/quote'] Ponting does not make a ton every game. He has failed many times as a batsman. He is def. my favorite captain of this era. You are just assuming that He will "motor run your hero....average"...guess what? you are talking bullsh1t:finger: Fair' date=' unbiased discussion without hero worshipping is not your cup of tea is it ?[/quote'] random words....:finger: Talk about all quantity. 10 of those tons are against the likes of Kenya' date=' Namibia and Zimbabwe, where Sachin really relishes being at the top of the order against whom we played alot in the 90's and early 2000s [/quote'] Mathematically, Sachin has 9 centuries against bad teams so lets discount those. Sachin has played 428 games with 44 centuries. We will only count 35 centuries in 419 games. (35/419) * 100% = 8.35% meaning, Sachin has managed a century 8.35% of the times he has played against "good opponent" Ponting has 3 centuries against bad teams so lets discount those. Ponting has played 319 games with 27 centuries. We will only count 24 centuries in 316 games. (24/316) * 100% = 7.59% meaning, Ponting has managed a century 7.59% of the times he has played against a "good opponent". 8.35>7.59 I hope these simple terms make some sense to you. Next time please provide some data to prove w/e you want to prove. Random words dont mean sh1t:finger: Viv Richards scored only about 7000 ODI runs..but he did it at a blistering strike rate of 90 ..even in those days when 200-220 was a par score and at an average of 47 - when only a couple others averaged above 40. His achivements also include a smashing World Cup final ton. If Sachin is " God" of ODIS ' date=' there is no greatness that can be used to descrive Viv - just ask any of the former cricketers. [/quote'] ask any of the today's crickters, all of them will tell you that Sachin is the best this era has produced under whatever circumstances. Even the former cricketers will say the same. and of the story, viv richard was the best in his times and sachin is the best in his era. There is no real way to really compare the two. Then theres Michael Bevan - no highfy century count - but he won it for Australia under thje most tight circumstances, almost always . Avg of 55+ . Believe me quality, averages etc count more than records that pile up as a function of playing record number of games - Otherwise most of todays batsmen would be greater than Bradman. Sachin is a truely great batter - in every sense - but not as " Godly " and " great" that some people here portray him to be. Again random words and no meat in the discussion. Sachin has not only played longer than any one has ever done, He has maintained his game over the years with a decent average of 45. He has delivered finite times when needed but Indian fans are never satisfied, they always want more from sachin. Sachin is "Godly" and "great" as millions of people state him to be. :finger:
