Hats off to Duminy. He massacred BRC and took away the game single-handedly. Although BRC was losing yet I enjoyed every bit of his innings. Another great thing was that he could have easily made the century but opted not to do so. Ross Taylor's innings was another great innings. Frankly speaking there could not have been a better opening match for the start of a big new league like CL T20 :isalute:

is this a knock format ? then RCB are gone ?? :omg:
nope it is not knock out right now.. BRC will play another match and they have chance to make to the next round if they win that match by a good margin. The third team in the group Otago Volts is not that good and so they have a decent chance. But Otago has got a lot of hard hitting players like McCullum, Redmond, Mascarenhas and Rutherford and a few good bowlers like Ian Butler and Brendron McCullum. It will be good competition in this group. Anyways all are the domestic champions and so the level of competition will be much higher than IPL

Take out international players from CL t20' date=' then it will be.:winky:[/quote'] Only our domestic structure can entice international players. Food for thought, huh :winky:. Find me one domestic tournament where 50k+ tickets are sold out in jiffy :two_thumbs_up:

It was a terrific knock. What I liked most about the innings is it was full of quality cricketing shots and not just slog. I think there was one miss timed pull of a very short ball from Kohli apart from that he middled every other ball. BTW if it was not for the cable the ball would have sailed over Ross Taylor as Mark Boucher said...and he richly deserved an hundred. I haven't seen a lot of players hit the ball as hard as Lara but JP's pull to long on off Praveen Kumar reminded me of the way Lara used to treat the bowlers with disdain.

It was amazing how Duminy hit those humongous sixes and four with such ease. There was this one four where the fielder at long on only had chance to take a couple of steps before the ball went to the boundary like a tracer bullet. One would wonder where all this power was coming from.

only the finalists are eligible to play in the CL .. on that basis how did DD get into this ?? any idea
Then why only Wayamba from SL? The way the three teams will qualify from India is two teams that have reached the final and the team that topped the league table.

Initially, only two teams were supposed to qualify from Inida i.e. the two finalists of IPL. Since Sialkot Stallions were banned from participation, DD got into the fray as they topped the IPL group stages. BTW if Northants had made it to the finals of the English Twenty20 cup then CSK would have made it to the CL as the English county had ICL players playing for them.

But :csk: :fail: :hehe:
